Thank you for your interest in the Daily Bible Study. My name is John Neely. I was born in 1951, and raised in SW Kansas. I graduated from Kansas University (go Jayhawks) and moved to Oregon where I have lived for 30 years or so. I have been a Bible student since I was very young and have kept meticulous notes from studies with many professors and various instructors over the years. I began writing the Bible Study everyday, primarily for my own family, and because there just weren't any sources of good daily and convenient studies to be found anywhere. When others became aware of my daily study, my notes were requested so much so, that I sought a better way of communicating them to any and all who would be interested. Thus the internet option seemed to be the best way of providing the study. Also, since there seems to be very few sources of good 'daily' studies for folks, this provides people with access to a daily study, which is not intrusive, and is conveniently available online. The study consists of daily lessons ranging from one to four pages in length. So over the course of a typical year you can expect to see well over a thousand pages of study notes. The purpose of this study, is not to entertain you, but to provide an objective, and independent study of the Word of God, each and every day. This, for the purpose of helping you, or at least giving you, an opportunity to advance in your spiritual life to the point of maximum fulfillment and completion of your life, and your intended purpose, which God has designed specifically for you. You did not have any say as to the details of your life, before you were born into this world. However, now, you have every opportunity to define and design your next life, for all of eternity, before your go to eternity. You have only to complete your life now, in accordance with Gods will and intended purpose for you. As ambiguous as that may sound, it is really the simplest thing to accomplish. First, the Christian life is intended for Christians only. Anyone can become a Christian, simply by believing in Jesus Christ, 'I believe in Jesus Christ.' Those are the five little words that will determine whether you will go to heaven or to the Lake of Fire after you die. The family of God consists of Christians only. If you have not yet believed in Christ, then take all of a second of your time right now, and believe in Christ. All other religions, cults, philosophies and such, are false systems of faith, and are designed to keep you from your intended destiny. Salvation is just that simple, and so too will be the rest of the development of your spiritual life. Once you have believed in Christ, then at that moment you are said to have been born again. The first time you were born, physically, you had to grow up. The second time you are born, spiritually, you likewise must grow up within your spiritual life. And just as you must learn and develop and grow in this physical life, so too, you must learn and develop within your spiritual life. This is called the circle of wisdom. You learn through the teaching and study of the scriptures, you apply what you learn to your daily life, you gain an understanding through that initial learning process, you repeat the process by means of your daily study, and that helps you develop more understanding. You repeat this process day to day, month to month, year to year, and that in turn helps you to develop wisdom. And from wisdom you mature and develop a complete understanding of life, of God, of people, of history, of everything around you. And more than that, you develop an understanding of yourself, and the meaning and purpose of your life. At the same time, as you advance in your spiritual life, you develop a completion of your life, and a complete preparation of your life, which makes you ready, for when you will stand before Christ at the Judgment Seat of Christ, to receive your evaluation and eternal reward. This is the overall objective of your life, to be ready for that evaluation. For it is there that you will receive your reward that will last you for the rest of eternity. Therefore, this study is intended to help you get ready both for this current life and for eternity. You have only to decide whether you want it or not. |
