1 John 3:2

2 Beloved [agapetos], now [nun] are we [esmen] the sons [teknon] of God [theos], and [kai] it doth [phaneroo] not yet [oupo] appear [phaneroo] what [tis] we shall be [esomai]: but [de] we know [eido] that [hoti], when [ean] he shall appear [phaneroo], we shall be [esomai] like [homoios] him [autos]; for [hoti] we shall see [optanomai] him [autos] as [kathos] he is [esti]. KJV-Interlinear

2 Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we shall be. We know that, when He appears, we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him just as He is. NASB

Today we are all human beings living in bodies of flesh and bone. Our bodies are perishable, and were never designed to survive forever. Even though many of the first generation of Adam lived into their nine hundreds of years, the physical body was never intended to live on forever.

Then that life span declined to the five hundreds in Noah's day, then it further declined into the one hundreds in Abraham's day, and further declined to the mere 30's of years in Christ's day, and still further into the low twenties in the dark ages of the first millennium AD.

Then the human life span began to rise to the thirties on average in the second millennium AD, and then only as recently as the year 1900, the life span was only 40 years on average, and now we are into the eighties in our current day.

So mankind on the whole has nothing to boast about, since there have been other times in history when our life span has been longer, and with virtually no medical technology for support.

We might think that we are advancing in medical science, but when the Second Advent occurs, and the Millennial rule of Christ begins, then mans life span will extend immediately to the full one thousand years of that future Millennium.

Isa. 65:20
20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old;

And even still, those physical bodies of people living in the Millennium will still be perishable bodies. When they die the bodies will rot in the grave. And while alive they will have their aches and pains as we do now.

We are each born from our momma's womb of flesh and bone, but that is not our final destination in life however. It is only the beginning of a temporary biological life in this world.

Eventually when the resurrection occurs (for us it will be the Rapture), then we will be changed instantly. Those who are not alive at the Rapture (having previously died in history) will arise first, then those (believers) who are alive on the earth will be caught up and changed instantly into a new and imperishable body. All of this will happen in an instant quicker than you can blink an eye.

When Jesus Christ appears, we will be like Him, 1 Cor. 15:52-54, Phil. 3:21.

1 Cor. 15:52-54
52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. 53 For this perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 But when this perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written, 'Death is swallowed up in victory. NASB

Phil. 3:21
21 who will transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself. NASB

Our present state is what we are today, our future remains yet to happen. But happen it will for a certainty. And when it does happen, then we will find ourselves like God. We'll have resurrection bodies just like that which Jesus Christ currently has.

Rom. 8:16-17
16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, NASB

2 Cor. 3:18
18 But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit. NASB

There aren't enough diet plans nor enough vitamins out there to make you into that which God will give you in a moment of time. Your body will be perfect in every respect. God knows exactly what you desire in your appearance and ability, and He will give that to you and more, many times over.

The perfect tens of this world will be ugly, ugly ducklings by comparison.

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
