You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.

1 John 5:13

13 These things [tauta] have I written [grapho] unto you [humin] that believe [pisteuo] on [eis] the name [onoma] of the Son [huios] of God [theos]; that [hina] ye may know [eido] that ye [hoti] have [echo] eternal [aionios] life [zoe], and [kai] that [hina] ye may believe [pisteuo] on [eis] the name [onoma] of the Son [huios] of God [theos]. KJV-Interlinear

13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, in order that you may know that you have eternal life. NASB

All scripture is written by man, but all the words, the principles, the concepts the entire content of the Bible comes from the source of God and God alone. The Bible comes from no other source. And even though there have been many thousands of years passing while the Bible was in the making, all of the scriptures came from God only, and all of its content is perfect and consistent in its entirety. The many translations may give rise to controversy, but when Bible instruction delves back into the original languages, then there is no controversy.

2 Tim. 3:16-17
16 All scripture is God breathed, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be mature, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

The Bible is the source of your spiritual growth. There is no other source from which you can look to for a spiritual life. By means of study and obedience, in the sphere of fellowship, does your spiritual growth develop.

2 Tim. 2:15
15 Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

And all one need do is to believe on the name (Jesus Christ) of the Lord Jesus Christ in order to be saved. By believing in the name alone is enough and is tantamount to believing and accepting the entire life and work of Christ. Just recognition of the Son is enough. All religions reject the Son. But those who recognize the Son, also are accepting of the plan of the Father. And that is enough to be saved.

All scripture is written so that you may know with certainty what Gods will is for you and for all of humanity. The Bible is not written in order to confuse or to make life ambiguous. But to make life clear, understandable, perspicuous. Gods objective is to educate you, not to deceive you, such that you can make up your own mind independently, and not have your mind made up by others.

Therefore, by surrendering to God through faith in Christ, then by advancing to spiritual maturity through a daily study program and again surrendering and submitting yourself in obedience to God, then you are not making yourself a slave, but you are in fact making yourself free, independent, and autonomous. Combined with all of Gods blessing and prosperity which accompanies spiritual maturity, then that in life, is the ultimate achievement and success.
