1 Peter
Introduction
The first book of
Peter, was written while Peter was living in Babylon. It is a book of suffering, and was addressed
to Hebrew Christians scattered throughout the region.
Probably written in the
mid sixties A.D., 1 Peter was written as an encouragement to believers to hold
on to their faith and doctrine, especially during their time of suffering and
adversity.
