2 Peter 1:12

12 Therefore, I shall always be ready to remind you of these things, even though you already know them, and have been established in the truth which is present with you. NASB

Not being negligent, means just that.God will not be negligent in giving you the necessary information that will allow you to grow up and be productive in your spiritual life. And even more than that, God will repeat His doctrines to you, over and over, again and again, so that you always have doctrine before you, always.

You have no excuse in life other than your own indifference toward truth.

No matter where you look in life, there will be an example of doctrine before you. You can either choose to see it or choose to ignore it.

Truth one. What you see in this life is not all that there is to life.That is a near-sighted view of life.There is a greater picture to life, which is your spiritual life.

Most people get trapped in accepting only the carnal life they have and that they experience in this world.

Whether kids glued to their activity of choice, or adults glued to their entrenched daily habits, all are subject to the trap of losing out on their infinite life in eternity, which is certain to come.

For some your life of eternity will begin soon.For others it will be decades away.But it will begin for you and most will not be ready for it, simply because they have chosen their temporal life over their spiritual life.

And remember this. Your studies are not the sum total of your spiritual life.You have to apply the principles of life, to your life, obey the mandates of God, in your life, and be responsible in your life, always.You cannot simply skip by and hope that the world will leave you alone. It won t.

The world is going to inundate you with enticements of games and hobbies and distractions that are more fun, and more interesting, while Bible study is well boring. But that too, depends on your understanding of the consequences of your actions.

School is boring for many kids and they drop out or don t make an effort. What do they lose in life? A great deal. If only they could stick with it, and graduate, then they would understand that having an education makes a tremendous difference in the quality of life that they could have for themselves.

Likewise, Bible study prepares you for far more than just a quality life. It prepares you for an unimaginable future, with blessings, rewards, and a life that is far greater than anything that anyone on this earth has ever had.But you have to get with the program, and cut loose many of your former beliefs and desires in life.

In the carnal realm, you generally receive instant gratification from your activities. In the spiritual realm, this is not so obvious, but then this is where God separates the immature from the mature, the useless from the useful.

Now is the time to post a prayer.
