Hebrews 1:13-14

Lesson # Heb. 1:13-14
Study Material - Heb. 1:13-14

You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.

P>Heb. 1:13-14

13 But to which of the angels has He ever said, 'Sit at My right hand, Until I make Thine enemies a footstool for Thy feet'? 14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?

Finally the closing of this first chapter of the book of Hebrews, the superiority of Jesus Christ over all others, above all things, beyond all imaginations. No one else has been offered the position equal to that of God the Father. No one else has even come close to that status.

There is a plan, which God designed in eternity past. In theology it is called the Divine Decrees. The plan was designed by God the Father, the author of the plan. Jesus Christ is the executor of the plan. Christ created all that is and controls history by various means. The Holy Spirit is the power that communicates all of this to all of creation, and brings those who comply with Gods plan, into a relationship with God (the baptism of the Holy Spirit in salvation, fellowship in the time frame following salvation), and provides an environment for a personal relationship with God.

No other person, or angel, or thing in existence has ever qualified for this kind of advancement in Gods plan.

Christ's qualifications? His titles - Son of God, Son of Man, Son of David, Lord of lords, King of kings, the first and the last, the alpha and the omega. He is the Messiah, the deliverer, the savior, the one who paid the price to free us from sin and death. He is the creator of the universe and of all things and of all life.

In Psa. 110:1, He was offered the right hand seat of God, until all enemies were to become defeated, or a footstool for His feet. Often a victor in battle would place his foot on the neck of the defeated to represent his ultimate control and authority over the defeated.

In Gods plan, there will be a termination of history. God will defeat all enemies by either their submission (positive believers), their subjection (negative believers), or their total destruction (unbelievers).

As for the angel population, they destiny is to minister to those who are to inherit the universe. Who will inherit? The children of God - those from humanity who will become believers in Christ. Those members of the Royal family who live in this Church Age, who will become the Bride of Christ and thus share His inheritance.

What does all of this mean for us? Salvation is infinitely better than that of no salvation. But better than salvation, is that status of spiritual maturity, which is infinitely better than spiritual immaturity. If life is good for you in this short life, or if you can view others who have the good life during these few short years that a given individual has to live on this earth - perhaps 80 or 90 years, then imagine what kind of life you can have with an unlimited life span (eternal), and with the bank account of God the Father!! Beyond imagination.

A great deal is on the line for each of our destinies. A great deal is on the line for Satan's eventual execution of the judgment set against him. A judgment to the lake of fire which has not yet been carried out. We are in the midst of the angelic conflict. There is a great deal of propaganda out there in the world, set there to dissuade you from your Bible study, set to distract you from your spiritual life, set to confuse you or convince you that there is always something better, or simply that this Bible stuff is not all that great.

Now, we are not going to get into chapter two in this study cycle, but we are going on to Revelation beginning tomorrow. But if we were to continue in the first verse of chapter two, we would see the warning to stay, persevere, stick it our with our Bible study, lest we drift away into oblivion and misery, and more that that, loss of great reward and blessing in eternity as well as loss of blessings during our current life time.

There area great many opinions out there in the world - many religious views, many social and moral views, many intellectual views, many scientific views, many uneducated views, many educated views. All of which, if lacking in Gods Word, are then therefore false views of life. Beware and forewarned. Christ is the only person, is the superior person, and has the superior opinion in truth.

Christ has no contemporaries in man or angel. Christ has no partners in office. Christ has no equals anywhere under creation. None can match His titles, His accomplishments, His truth of righteousness. Many will pursue in all their sincerity, many false prophets, many false religious beliefs, many misguided philosophies in this world. They deceive themselves for at some appointed time, there will be a termination, not only to each of our lives, but for human history as well.

Therefore we close this lesson with the warning of Heb. 2:1, ' closer attention to what you have heard...'. In addition, be more open minded about life, and less opinionated, less critical, more flexible toward others, less rigid in life and more relaxed. Of course Bible doctrine produces all of these good qualities in us.

Now is the time to post a prayer.

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
