Heb. 2:9-10

9 But [de] we see [blepo] Jesus [Iesous], who [ho] was made [elattoo] a little [brachus] [tis] lower [elattoo] than [para] the angels [aggelos] for [dia] the suffering [pathema] of death [thanatos], crowned [stephanoo] with glory [doxa] and [kai] honour [time]; that [hopos] he [geuomai] by the grace [charis] of God [theos] should taste [geuomai] death [thanatos] for [huper] every man [pas].
10 For [gar] it became [prepo] him [autos], for [dia] whom [hos] are all things [pas], and [kai] by [dia] whom [hos] are all things [pas], in bringing [ago] many [polus] sons [huios] unto [eis] glory [doxa], to make [teleioo] the captain [archegos] of their [autos] salvation [soteria] perfect [teleioo] through [dia] sufferings [pathema]. KJV-Interlinear

9 But we do see Him who has been made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone. 10 For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to perfect the author of their salvation through sufferings. NASB

Adam received a warning in the Garden not to eat of that one tree, but eat he did and die (spiritually) he did also. Soon thereafter he died a physical death which removed him from the earth and human history for a while. Along with his death, Adam also lost his destiny due to his sin.

Rom. 6:23
23 For the wages of sin is death NASB

The penalty for sin is death. Death is a separation from something. Sin causes a separation from God, since God is perfection and can have nothing to do with anything which is less than perfect. Separation from God means eternal oblivion since it is God who holds all things together.

In order to be made whole again, one has to first pay the price of sin, which is death, and then once paid, bring himself back into a sinless state of perfection and life. No human bring can do that for himself let alone for the entire human race.

Only God has the power to accomplish that.

So Jesus Christ is sent by the Father in accordance with the Divine Decrees (Gods divine plan), and Jesus Christ became a man. He made himself lower than angels in order to accomplish the task of salvation for man. A task which mankind could never do himself.

Why? Why not just let mankind go and continue on with history with whomever was left in creation? Because mans destiny was to be kings, rulers, and given the choice, many human beings throughout history will believe in Christ and therefore be restored to his (mans) former glory, and even better. For in the Garden man was flesh and blood. In eternity, man will be in a resurrection body. A far better situation to find ones self in.

Rom. 6:5
5 For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall be also in the likeness of His resurrection, NASB

Rom. 6:6-11
6 knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, that our body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin; 7 for he who has died is freed from sin. 8 Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, 9 knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, is never to die again; death no longer is master over Him. 10 For the death that He died, He died to sin, once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. 11 Even so consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus. NASB

In Christ we will all be kings. We don't have our kingdom yet, but one day we will. Granted some (mature believers) will have greater kingdoms than others, but anything in heaven will be better than the alternative destiny in the Lake of Fire.

As we become identified with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection, through our faith in Him, so we become joint heirs in His eternal kingdom.

Today some will ask the question, 'What is man?' A typical answer is, 'Man is inferior to birds and animals, even to creeping things, stones, and sticks.' Man even bows down and worships the snake and other things.

Others might answer in a different way. 'Man is obviously higher than any of the other animals, but he is only the product of chance, the result of evolution.'

God says, 'Man was created to be king of the earth. Only for a little time he has been made lower than the angels.'

Someday man will sit on the throne with Jesus Christ and reign with Him in His kingdom.

There is only one real Savior, only one perfect Savior, Jesus Christ.

Acts 4:12
12 'And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved.' NASB

How is it that we know that Jesus Christ is, in fact, the perfect and only Savior? Why should we believe that? What qualifies Him? That answer is given completely in the remainder of this chapter.

Ezek. 18:4
4 'Behold, all souls are Mine; the soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is Mine. The soul who sins will die. NASB

Without God we are nothing, and never will be anything but dust waiting for our expiration of life.

But Christ became our substitute in death so that we would not have to experience permanent death, but would have victory over any death we might experience. Our victory is through His work on the Cross, not of our own works.

Now is the time to post a prayer.

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
