Heb. 7:25-27

25 Wherefore [hothen] he is able [dunamai] also [kai] to save them [sozo] to [eis] the uttermost [panteles] that come [proserchomai] unto God [theos] by [dia] him [autos], seeing he ever [pantote] liveth [zao] to [eis] make intercession [entugchano] for [huper] them [autos].
26 For [gar] such [toioutos] an high priest [archiereus] became [prepo] us [hemin], who is holy [hosios], harmless [akakos], undefiled [amiantos], separate [chorizo] from [apo] sinners [hamartolos], and [kai] made [ginomai] higher than [hupselos] the heavens [ouranos];
27 Who [hos] needeth [echo] [anagke] not [ou] daily [kata] [hemera], as [hosper] those high priests [archiereus], to offer up [anaphero] sacrifice [thusia], first [proteron] for [huper] his own [idios] sins [hamartia], and then [epeita] for the people's [laos]: for [gar] this [touto] he did [poieo] once [ephapax], when he offered up [anaphero] himself [heautou]. KJV-Interlinear

25 Hence, also, He is able to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. 26 For it was fitting that we should have such a high priest, holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners and exalted above the heavens; 27 who does not need daily, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins, and then for the sins of the people, because this He did once for all when He offered up Himself. NASB

The priesthood of Christ is complete, eternal, unalterable, and unlimited in its scope.

God is a reference to the Father. Although Jesus Christ is Himself God, the whole concept of Christianity is that we approach God (the Father) through only one source, the second person of the trinity, Jesus Christ. This plan prevents mankind from coming up with his own plan (religions and philosophies) for gaining access to God or some imagined higher plane of existence.

Jesus Christ is unique to Christianity which is a relationship with God, through Him (Christ). This has been true since the time of Adam, and remains true today and will never change in the future.

Since Christ is eternal, then His intercession with the Father is perpetual. And since perpetual, then our relationship with God is secure and can never be lost, altered, or removed.

No earthly priest can accomplish this objective. Men, even as priests, are sinners. All of humanity is sinful. Look in the mirror and you will be looking at a sinner. You will never see perfection in your own mirror.

Christ is holy. Holiness is righteousness plus justice. Righteousness is sinless perfection. Justice is the cleansing away of all filth (sin and human good).

Christ is innocence. He injured no person and He lived for the benefit of others. He is free from sin, moral wrong, or guilt through evil. He is free from guile, cunning, or deceit.

Jesus was undefiled, free from any moral or spiritual blemish. Jesus Christ is not able to sin, and able to not sin. Jesus Christ was in the world for 33 ½ years and was tempted constantly. He never came close to committing a sin.

Jesus was separated from sinners. He was of a totally different class. Though Christ is one hundred percent humanity, he was born without a sin nature. 'In Adam all have sinned.' Adam is the male counter part of the human race. 'From the seed of the woman will come the savior.'

The sin nature of mankind is transmitted from generation to generation through the man, not the woman. Christ was born of a virgin. Joseph had nothing to do with her pregnancy, thus Christ was born without a sin nature. He was born pure and remained so throughout His life.

Adam was created in innocence and pure, but Adam sinned and thus created in himself our sin nature. Christ was born innocent and pure and remained so throughout His entire life. Christ was exposed to all manner of temptations and more, as Adam was exposed, but Christ did not succumb.

Thus He became our perfect and only candidate for the Cross. No other human being can say this of themselves.

The Levites were sinners as we all are. They repeatedly had to give sacrifices for themselves before they could offer sacrifices in behalf of others.

Christ through His one and only sacrifice, paid the price in full for all sins for every human being throughout all of history. There is then no further need for sacrifices. The permanent payment of our debt has been accomplished.

Because of all of the above, Jesus Christ as the God/man, is exalted, promoted, glorified above all that is.

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
