Heb. 9:27-28

27 And [kai] as [kata] [hosos] it is appointed [apokeimai] unto men [anthropos] once [hapax] to die [apothnesko], but [de] after [meta] this [touto] the judgment [krisis]:
28 So [houto] Christ [Christos] was once [hapax] offered [prosphero] to [eis] bear [anaphero] the sins [hamartia] of many [polus]; and unto them that look [apekdechomai] for him [autos] shall he appear [optanomai] [ek] the second time [deuteros] without [choris] sin [hamartia] unto [eis] salvation [soteria]. KJV-Interlinear

27 And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment, 28 so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, shall appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him. NASB

Now here is the very real reality of life. It is 'appointed.' What is appointed? Death. Who does the appointment. God. Who is the appointment for? You.

And not only that, after you die, your problems don't go away, they can potentially get worse. There is yet another appointment. What is that for? Judgment. And again guess who makes that appointment? Right you are. God. And again who is that appointment for? You.

If you are born into this world, you have two things that are certain to enter into your life. And guess what. Taxes are not one of them. Some really poor folks don't ever pay taxes.

Death and judgment are those two certain things.

If you choose to live your life without God. If you think that you can coast through life with little or no repercussions to your chosen pattern of thought and/or life, then you will be and are one of the worlds biggest fools.

You cannot define your own life. You cannot define your own rules for life. You cannot pretend truth out of life, and substitute your own version of how you want life to be, and make it so.

There is one who went to the Cross for you, so that you could recover from that awful death. There is one who went to the Cross for you, so that you could escape from that awful judgment. There is one who provides information (Bible doctrine) for you, so that you can have the absolutely greatest future, which is far beyond your imagination.

Try to imagine beyond your ability to imagine. You can't do it. But that future is there and it is very real, and you are the only person who can stop yourself from getting it.

Jesus Christ went to the Cross for more than you will ever know. The doors that He opened up for you are so many and so wide, that it will take literally forever for you to be able to check them all out. And guess what? Forever never ends so you will never fully know all that there is to know. You will just keep on discovering and discovering and discovering and discovering and discovering .........

Unless, you choose to be the fool and lose it all.

2 Cor. 5:21
21 He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. NASB

Heb. 9:28
' ... to those who eagerly await Him.' NASB

When the High Priest entered, for the second time, into the Holy of Holies on the Day of Atonement, the people outside waited with great anticipation for his return from out behind that curtain. Recall that the Priest entered into the Holy of Holies twice. The first time was for himself and the second time was for the people.

Christ entered the Cross once by Himself, to pay the price for our sins. He returned, still unglorified after His resurrection, and then He ascended into heaven. He will return back to earth for His second appearance. But this time He will return glorified.

Just as that priest entered into the second room with his plain white robes and came out in them, then he entered a second time with his plain robes and then came out and put on his robes of glory.

The Messiah was appointed once to die for our sins, and Christ did that on the Cross some 1,976 years ago (2006-30).

Now we who look to Him, and wait His return with anticipation. We will all see Him sooner or later. For most of us it will be our death which will sweep us from his life into His presence. For one generation, the Rapture will sweep them into His presence.

Though, that is not the anticipated return of Christ, it will be a happy occasion for all of us who have believed in Him.

The long awaited second return will come at the Second Advent when:

Rev. 19:11-14
11 And I saw heaven opened; and behold, a white horse, and He who sat upon it is called Faithful and True; and in righteousness He judges and wages war. 12 And His eyes are a flame of fire, and upon His head are many diadems; and He has a name written upon Him which no one knows except Himself. 13 And He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood; and His name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses. NASB

It is that second coming in which we will be honored to participate, dressed in our finest clothing (resurrection bodies), riding, galloping, on our very own white war horses, and charging through the universe screaming the battle charge at the top of our resurrected lungs.

To witness the promised and Second Advent of Christ. For the purpose of putting down the evil nations who are actively engaged in the extermination of humanity.

This time sin will not be the issue, for that subject has already been settled. Rulership will be the issue and Christ will settle that too, and very quickly.

Keeping all of His promises, assures us once and for all, and forever, that our salvation and life with God in perfect happiness and perfect prosperity will be secure forever. We will never lose it. It can never be taken away.

But again, there is always the possibility that you may never have it. That depends entirely on your decision to believe in Christ or not. The quality of your future depends on your daily decisions to study the Bible. You may or you may not.

You might even allow your attitude toward someone else (people) to keep you from studying. You might be so stubborn as to throw you life away because you do not like someone, or because you judge God based on the actions of people. Don't defeat yourself. Ignore those you don't care for and win in your spiritual life. Gods evaluation of you is more important than your attitude toward others, or their attitude toward you.

Don't make that mistake and throw your entire future away just because you don' like someone. Certainly don't make the mistake and throw your entire future away because you disagree with something taught. Time always cures the understanding.

History will not continue until mankind goes to the stars, and discovers people in another galaxy. Won't ever happen.

What will happen will be your death, your judgment (or your evaluation), and Christ's second return. All at a time appointed by God. Jesus Christ controls history. Jesus Christ doesn't make mistakes. Nothing occurs in history that Christ doesn't know anything about. He knows everything and overlooks nothing.

So, either trust in Christ's wisdom, or your own wisdom. Which do you suppose is the better?

Now is the time to post a prayer.

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
