You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.

Heb. 10:23

23 Let us hold fast [katecho] the profession [homologia] of our faith [elpis] without wavering [aklines]; (for [gar] he is faithful [pistos] that promised [epaggello];) KJV-Interlinear

23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; NASB

When you believed in Christ, that was the moment of your confession (of faith) to God the Father. 'Father I believe in Jesus Christ.' All you need to do in order to be saved is think (or say) those six little words. There is no work requirement, no need to raise a hand, no need to look heavenward, no need to walk an isle, no need to dip yourself in water. There is nothing that you must do in order to be saved except think those six little words.

Salvation is a form of prayer. It is addressed to God the Father. It is your moment of rebirth. Once born, you cannot unborn or undo your birth. Again as I have said in the past, if you think that you can reverse your birth, just ask your momma that question. And, once you have recovered from her having slapped the stupid out of you, then you will realize that once you have been born there is no going back.

It is the same with the spiritual life. Once you have thought those six little words, you have been renewed into a new and better life. God created within you, a human spirit instantly. That is your vessel (or container) for holding eternal life. Eternal life is also instantly imputed into your human spirit.

Your human spirit along with its life component now become your third aspect of life. The first two of course being your physical body together with its biological life (both of which are discarded when you die or otherwise leave this world), and the second component of your life, which is the real you, is your soul which contains your human life.

You are now - body with biological life, soul with human life, and spirit with eternal life. Only the first (your physical body with its biological life) is discarded when you die. The other two will eventually be matched with your resurrection body at some point in the future.

Unwavering in your faith, simply means that you persevere in your advance to spiritual maturity. Spiritual maturity is your goal for this life. Or it should be. Your spiritual life is your most valuable possession.

Everything else in your life - your body, your education, your career, your social life, your hobbies, your talents, your abilities, etc., whatever it is that you do in life, all of these are given to you from God as logistical support for getting you through this life. They sustain you so that you will have the opportunity to study and grow up spiritually.

Your physical and temporal life are not the primary reason for your being here. God did not put you here on this earth do only work, or have fun, or entertain yourself, or be miserable, or whatever is occurring in your life. All of these and more are there for the purpose of teaching you, and therefore so that you can learn truth and responsibility, and so forth from life. Your priority of course is, or should be, learning Bible doctrine.

Why? Because one day your short little life here on this earth will come to an end and then your real life will begin in eternity.

So if we eventually realize this truth, and if we finally realize that there is no other hope from all those other philosophies in the world, that our only hope is Jesus Christ, then ... then, we begin to design our destiny around the promises that God has given to us. Promises that are there for each one of us individually, and promises that are absolutely phenomenal. Beyond our imagination.

Jesus Christ is faithful. That simply means that He can be trusted. No other religion, no other philosophy, nothing out there in the world is true and therefore those other plans cannot be trusted. They are all lies designed to distract you and cheat you out of your eternal blessings.

Before your were born to your momma and daddy, you had no say as to the kind of life you would have in this world. You did not choose your parents. You did not have any say as to the environment or circumstances of your life.

But now you can look down through time and see eternity ahead. You have the opportunity right now, to choose the conditions of your destiny, and that choice of the best of the best comes to you automatically only if your choose to advance to spiritual maturity. God is dangling before you a galaxy filled with gold. Would you throw that (and more) away?

Unfortunately most of the world does exactly that.

John 8:31-33
31 Jesus therefore was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, 'If you abide in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; 32 and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. ' NASB

John 6:44
44 'No one can come to Me, unless the Father who sent Me draws him; NASB

1 Thess. 5:24
24 Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass. NASB

Eph 3:20
20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think , according to the power that worketh in us,

God does exactly that. He has waiting for you, blessings that exceed your imagination.

Some of you probably have some pretty healthy imaginations. So think real hard and then multiply that by ten, then multiply that by infinity and more. You cannot even begin to imagine the prospects that await you in heaven.

But, and this is the kicker, those blessings will only go to those who advance to spiritual maturity. You cannot earn your future. You cannot deserve your future. All you need to do is study and learn and then apply what you have learned, to your daily life. That is being responsible. That is being accountable. That is fulfilling your obligation to God.

You will only fail in this if you are indifferent, apathetic, or you just don't believe all of this Bible stuff. Then of course you would have to have something better than what God has to offer, right?

Now is the time to post a prayer.

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
