John 15:26-27

Lesson # John 15:26-27
Study Material - John 15:26-27

You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.

John 15:26-27

26 But [de] when [hotan] the Comforter [parakletos] is come [erchomai] , whom [hos] I [ego] will send [pempo] unto you [humin] from [para] the Father [pater] , even the Spirit [pneuma] of truth [aletheia] , which [hos] proceedeth [ekporeuomai] from [para] the Father [pater] , he [ekeinos] shall testify [martureo] of [peri] me [emou] :
27 And [de] ye [humeis] also [kai] shall bear witness [martureo] , because [hoti] ye have been [este] with [meta] me [emou] from [apo] the beginning [arche] . KJV-Interlinear

John 15:26-27

26 'When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, that is the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, He will bear witness of Me, 27 and you will bear witness also, because you have been with Me from the beginning. NASB

The three members of the Godhead are mentioned in these verses. All are on the same game plan. The Spirit (Holy Spirit) and the Son, both come from the Father. That is to say, they both are in full agreement with the divine plan which they all agreed upon in eternity past.

None of them nor any two of them are attempting to make an empire for themselves apart from that plan. There is no conflict between the three.

All three members of the Godhead are co-equal, and co-eternal with each other. They all have the same essence (omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient, immutable, veracity, perfect righteousness, perfect justice, eternal life, love, sovereignty). All three agreed upon a plan in which anything which is less than perfect (mankind) cannot define on his own terms just how to have a relationship with God.

Mankind would allow politics, prejudice, and all manner of unfair bias into his plans. So mans plans are excluded from Gods plan, and therefore Gods plan is perfect and without flaw.

Now we have witnesses to the plan. The Holy Spirit is going to be sent to the apostles and to all believers in this dispensation, the Church Age. The Holy Spirit who has been around for all of eternity past up and until the present, is a perfect and truthful witness.

We have the scriptures which speak of the Messiah. The scriptures have withstood the trials of time. And we have the apostles and other disciples who lived during Christ's first advent who are eye witnesses of Him and His works. They gave and wrote their testimony not from hearsay, but from their own eye witness accounts of that which was said and done throughout Christ's ministry.

All sources testify to Christ, the Son of God, the Messiah, the only means of access to God the Father. There is consistency and cohesiveness in all of the accounts and in the subject of the scriptures, Jesus Christ.

In any other, and all other systems of religion, philosophy, and beliefs, there is a lack of consistency, of continuity, and a definite lack of truth to what they propose.

Now is the time to post a prayer.

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
