Luke 3:5-6

Lesson # Luke 3:5-6
Study Material - Luke 3:5-6

You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.

Luke 3:5-6

5 'Every ravine shall be filled up, And every mountain and hill shall be brought low; And the crooked shall become straight, And the rough roads smooth; 6 And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.'

Isa. 40:3, is quoted by John. Every valley will be filled up. We are low like a deep valley, a ravine. We are trapped in our world, trapped under the penalty of sin and death. Christ will go to the Cross and do the work which will satisfy God concerning sin. Christ will be placed into the grave for three days and then will be resurrected claiming victory over death. Then God will give this accomplishment to each one of us, as a gift, if we but only believe it.

Every mountain and high place will be brought low. We might think highly of ourselves, but God can humble us regardless of out level of technology, regardless of the image we might have of ourselves. He caused the waters to divide allowing the Israelites to cross over on dry ground. He caused the sun to go backwards three hours for Hezekiah. At the second advent he will cause the sun to go dark for a very supernatural blackness in which there will be absolutely no light, and that is the condition of mankind in their rejection of God, total darkness.

In our life we follow a crooked path. Sin knows no straight line, but follows only the course of least resistance like a river flowing across the landscape. The easiest way to go is the path that sin takes. But Doctrine takes a straight path, with God opening up the way and clearing all blockages. But first one has to become saved through faith in Christ. Then the passage is made open for a straight path, through daily study in Bible doctrine. As we advance in our spiritual growth, our lives are made easier. Our attitudes become more relaxed. We do not get upset as easily as before. We become more tolerant and less rigid in our lives. The road of bumps we follow is smoothed out in our daily lives. The problems don't go away, but we are able to cope with them because we have a better understanding of life and why we are here on this earth.

Man is not going to evolve into some super advanced race with higher morals and eventually reach eternal life on his own. Forget all the movies with this message. Movies should be viewed for their entertainment value only, not their human viewpoint message, which often times rejects God and the plan He has for this human race.

All flesh will see Gods salvation. There is not one person on the face of this earth who has not been informed of Jesus Christ. None in history. In every society there is a consciousness of a higher being of some kind and Christ is always in the mix somewhere. There is no excuse. The Bible repeats itself many times and has done so for many centuries, so that no one will have an excuse regarding God and salvation. When the final judgments come there will be abundant proof of knowledge and opportunity for believing in Christ. No one can say, 'I didn't know.' God is fair and patient, giving everyone more rope than they could possibly need in order to accept Christ or reject Him. Then He snaps the rope tight and you are either saved by it or caught up in it to your own demise.

God is not the enemy, but rather each person can be their own worst enemy because of their attitude toward Christ and His Word.

Now is the time to post a prayer.

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
