Matthew 6:13b

Lesson # Matt. 6:13b
Study Material - Matt. 6:13b

You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.

Matt. 6:13b

13 'And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.'

The conclusion of the prayer format which Jesus Christ teaches us. God is the kingdom, not man. Man has had his history. Man has had his empires, his spheres of power, of influence. Man has his technology and philosophy. Man also has his flaws, unfair treatments of peoples.

Are all people created equal? Well of course not. We would like to think so, but there is prejudice in the world. Even IQ's are not the same for people all over the world. Financial situations, employment situations, educational opportunities differ for everyone. There are the filthy rich and the filthy poor in this world. There are the fat, and the starving. There are the very healthy, and those who have handicaps.

Doe man have a destiny to travel and rule the stars? No. We have already seen that it would take a tremendous speed - millions of times the speed of light - just to travel within our own galaxy. Could man ever hope to travel the speed of light let alone millions of times faster than the speed of light? Well we can all presume that just because we have come from the horse to rockets, to nuclear powered engines (on the drawing board) for space ships, that we would one day discover light speed capability. Perhaps we will, and even in this century, or will we one day discover that there is a limit beyond which we cannot go?

What about the realities we have to deal with even today? The population will double in about 30 years, and again every 30 years or so beyond that. What will happen when our current population of 6 billion becomes 12 billion, then 24 billion 60 years from now. The generation born today will see this problem and all the problems that will go with it. Will food and famine be the issue of tomorrow as well as energy, or employment, or something else - maybe crime on a large scale - maybe another war or series of wars world wide. All of this is speculation of course. Maybe the new genetic food strains will turn all our hair blue!! Hummm! The problems just never cease. So will man rise above all the barriers of life and come out victorious? No.

There is a destiny and man is not the key to it, nor the conclusion to it. But God is the key and the conclusion. Man will eventually run out of options and it will take the grace of God and His deliverance to bail mankind out. This dispensation will end one day at the rapture, then man will have his final say in history, Satan too. And they will collectively fail in a miserable way. Destruction will be the result of man and Satan's leadership. Then the Second Advent will occur and Christ will install a 1000 year period of perfect environment, perfect prosperity, and even then near the end of that 1000 years, there will arise yet new generations of unbelievers, and negative believers despite the presence of Christ, despite the presence of angels, despite the presence of us (believers of the Royal Family in resurrection bodies). Despite all of this and far more, people will reject God. Further proving that even environment is not mans answer, even longer life spans is not mans answer, but God alone, doctrine in the soul alone is the answer to mans problems in life and in eternity.

'For Thine is the kingdom...', and so God is the future governing entity, not angels, not mankind.

'...and the power...', mans technology won't save him, won't extend his life span significantly, won't solve mans problems. Man cannot control his own sin nature. We cannot control peoples thoughts, motives, or actions. We can't cure the common cold. As proud as man can get with his advancements in history, there is always a teeny little virus out there somewhere that will humble us all.

God has the power to solve everything, to make everyone healthy, to make everyone perfect in accordance with Gods definition of perfection - perfect of soul, perfect of body, perfect of spirit.

'... And the glory', man has no glory. Man is but a clay vessel in this world, fragile and breakable, and limited in almost everything. That is why we will never travel to the stars - we do have limits. We just haven't reached them yet, and we still have to deal with the growing problems of today. We just can't place the world on hold while we build a faster rocket.

God has all the credit. God is eternal, therefore all glory belongs to Him alone. God created all things, and holds all things together. God controls history despite mans and Satan's impressions of themselves.

'Forever.', man is limited, angels are limited. God is eternal. He has always existed and will always exist. Nothing exists without the help of God. Nothing can exist unless God wills it. Neither man nor angel have these powers of decision.

'Amen', and it shall be so. So it is written, so it shall be done. God reveals truth, never lies, never deceptions. History is set on its course. Man cannot control or change history overall, but man can position and ready himself for the future by means of spiritual growth, by means of fellowship, by means of daily Bible study, by means of salvation which is the key and the only entrance (faith in Christ) into Gods plan for any single individual.

Only a fool would disregard what is written and taught. Note that as we go through these three chapters in Matthew, this information was being taught by Christ during the second year of His ministry. These are basic doctrines that people should know and understand from the outset of their spiritual lives, but negative people fail to learn even the most elementary of spiritual concepts. By the time you get into your second year of consistent Bible study, you should be much further along in your spiritual life. Blessings should be rolling your way, peace of mind should be in your possession, poise should be the status of your personality.

Now is the time to post a prayer.

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
