Matthew 7:15-20

Lesson # Matt. 7:15-20
Study Material - Matt. 7:15-20

You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.

Matt. 7:15-20

15 'Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16 'You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes, nor figs from thistles, are they? 17 'Even so, every good tree bears good fruit; but the bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 'A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit. 19 'Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 'So then, you will know them by their fruits.

Beware false teachers. There true identities become known to those people who are truly interested in Bible study. In contrast, however, if a person is not really interested in Bible study, but tend to be more interested in the being seen aspect, the social aspect, the genie wishes aspects of religion, then God does not reveal the false concepts, of the philosophies they draw themselves too.

False teachers are extremely deceptive to the uninformed. To the informed, however, they are as obvious as the nose on your face. What is the nature of false teachers? They teach harmony with the world, with nature, with the universe, with each other. They teach peace in the world as a means of achieving the perfect world society. They teach social concepts - no one should be rich or poor but all should have the same. This is the lure of communism and socialism, both extremely evil and destructive philosophies. One for all and all for one. Sounds good, but the truth is that they want you to be for them while they will drop you like a hot rock when your usefulness fades.

Typical example. Taiwan is an island nation strong in capitalism and free enterprise concepts. It is extremely wealthy and successful. It has virtually no natural resources. Likewise Hong Kong is extremely successful because of these business concepts. Despite virtually no resources. Now contrast these locations against almost every social or communist nation. One nation, Cuba, should be extremely wealthy, with its beaches, and resort possibilities, its tobacco, its sugar, and many other resources, but Cuba is poor and nearly destitute because of its government format. Whenever government becomes the driving force in a nations business, that nation begins to suffer, and if it continues for a long period of time, then that nation will fail. Sometimes it takes a long time. China is huge and does not roll over quickly, but it is beginning to come out of its seclusion and presents a tremendous opportunity if it ever does open up. The USA is the wealthiest nation in the world today, because of its tremendous market system, its tremendous resources, and a government that has not shut everything down due to over regulation. Though in some cases this has and does present problems.

We in the USA are not perfect by any stretch of the imagination. But free enterprise is, and always will be, the answer to prosperity in any nation and history has proven it time and time again. Even if there are many who refuse to believe it.

Guru's, wise leaders, people who disavow alcohol and sex and cool aid. These people offer absolutely nothing. What is there in chanting to the wind, in stretching slowly (though it might be a good physical exercise), in believing in the goodness of man? Man is not good. Man has a sin nature and is corrupt and despicable. So says the Bible. Mans righteousness is like filthy menstrual rags. So what is to boast about that?

Then too some of the philosophies these guru's present are so full of ambiguous ideas and double talk, that I'm not sure how anyone could possibly believe them. Let alone want to give them all their money. But people give up everything and to their dismay, in time, they discover the fraud.

Gods word is so prevalent in this world that it is difficult to imagine how people can miss it. And they do not really miss it, but they ignore it. Gods word does not present a get rich quick scheme. It does not present a get cured quick scheme. People think of their immediate needs - financial, medical, social, whatever, and they want the genie to fix them right now. So in their blindness they follow established beliefs because of the peer pressure to follow - Muslim. They follow some ambiguous promises - various cults. They follow established organizations because they 'are' established so they must be right - various religions or Protestant organizations or even the Catholic, or Jewish, or Hindu religion, etc.

Some ideas out there, are that technology and science are our destiny. That God does not really exist. That we are here accidentally and must make our own future in the universe. That any morals we set are the right morals. That the strong rule, but we need to have compassion for the poor (so long as they don't take away from what we already have).

The beliefs are many and varied. But so the world is. With darkness present and preventing the clear identification of all the components of the universe (the spiritual cannot be seen), then people will follow whatever seems best, whatever is more convenient, whatever promises the most, whatever will satisfy our physical and mental needs and desires.

And the truth of it all? All these produce nothing. They are weeds and thistles. Goods things, good production comes from none of these. Only from Bible doctrine will good production grow. Mans works are dead works, yielding nothing. Solomon said it clearly - all is vanity, all is nothingness. To pursue nothingness is to end up nowhere.

If you study your Bible, then you will begin to see the lies in the world, and you will be able to avoid getting caught up in them. They are distractions designed to get you away from your Bible study, and they will succeed if you let them. If, however, you stick with your studies on a regular basis, then you will be able to discern between the right and the wrong, between the truth and the lie, between the good and the evil, between your true destiny in God and in no destiny in the world.

Now is the time to post a prayer.

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
