Matthew 11:27

Lesson # Matt. 11:27
Study Material - Matt. 11:27

You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.

Matt. 11:27

27 All things [pas] are delivered [paradidomi] unto me [moi] of [hupo] my [mou] Father [pater] : and [kai] no man [oudeis] knoweth [epiginosko] the Son [huios] , but [ei me] the Father [pater] ; neither [oude] knoweth [epiginosko] any man [tis] the Father [pater] , save [ei me] the Son [huios] , and he [kai] to [hos] whomsoever [ean] the Son [huios] will [boulomai] reveal [apokalupto] him. KJV-Interlinear

Matt. 11:27

27 'All things have been handed over to Me by My Father; and no one knows the Son, except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father, except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him. NAS

All things, refer to all things - the miracles demonstrate His authority over illness, disease, demons, nature, life, death, and sin and so forth. God the Father, whom no one has ever seen nor even approached in any way, has given all authority and dominion and power to His Son, one and only son, Jesus Christ.

Jesus makes it very clear here that He is God. 'My Father' is a specific reference to God the Father. There is no mistake. The hearers of His words knew exactly to whom He was referring.

So now with the barrier of pride and self centeredness having been brought down by humility and the attitude of Gods superiority over us (dependence), as we studied yesterday. That opens up the next characteristic required by any person - revelation or the willingness to listen, hear, understand, and therefore know. To be open minded about life is sometimes very difficult for some, and all too easy for others.

Jesus makes it clear just who He is. He is not referring to Joseph. He never calls Mary 'mother'. He always refers to her as 'woman'. But here He makes it clear that God the Father is His Father, ie. that He is directly related to God, and therefore is God himself. Which in turn means that He has always existed, and there was never a time when He did not exist. So the idea that Father God and some unidentified momma god got together in their chevy and then gave birth to the Son of God is dumber than it just sounded. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are simply designations for our human benefit so we can comprehend the relative functions of each, and therefore our relationship with all.

No one knows the Father except the Son. Jesus Christ is the Son. There is no other son, no other person through which we may reach the Father. We cannot gain access to the Father directly. That idea is filled with human arrogance. All human philosophy, all human science, all human religion (Christianity is not a religion but is a relationship with God through Jesus Christ), then all things of human origin or Satanic origin, cannot gain access to God the Father through logic, invention, discovery, etc. There is no way humanity can rise to the level high enough to discover God let alone approach Him. Spiritual things are beyond the human realm.

Therefore is requires God to create a path of access and to communicate that path to mankind. That path is of course Jesus Christ. That path to spiritual growth (once we are saved) requires a cleansing of the soul (fellowship) inside of which we can have a relationship with God, but only while we are inside that sphere.

There is no other means by which we might be saved, no other means by which we can gain our spiritual life. No other means by which we can have a relationship with God. Jesus Christ is the only gateway through which we must pass in order to be in compliance with Gods divine plan.

All things divine, require a divine mechanism to function. Human characteristics (IQ, varying mental abilities, varying financial privileges, varying environments and so forth) are inadequate to give every human a fair and impartial and equal access to God. Only Gods divine design of hearing the gospel and learning doctrine is fair and equal to all, because it is God (one of the three members) who takes total charge of conveying and supporting all things spiritual to mankind. Man merely has to decide to listen and learn. Ther is no merit nor credit of any kind for just listening and learning.

No one has access to God except through whom the Son reveals. All who believe in Christ (that is the criteria) will gain access to the Father in salvation. All who follow the study procedures authorized by God (fellowship, study, learning, application) will learn spiritual phenomena and grow up.

To these, Christ gives freely, access to the Father. Our access? Prayer. All prayer is directed to the Father, and to no thing and no one, else. Our access? Our spiritual life which we obtain through the transformation of our minds through - fellowship, study, learning, application.

To recognize any other means of access to God would be an insult to God and His plan. All other philosophies, all other religions, are false representations of accessing God, therefore they are evil, not honorable.

Now is the time to post a prayer.

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
