Revelation 19:13

http://www.dailybiblestudy.org

13 And [kai] he was clothed [periballo] with a vesture [himation] dipped [bapto] in blood: [haima] and [kai] his [autos] name [onoma] is called [kaleo] The Word [logos] of God. [theos] KJV-Interlinear

13 And He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood; and His name is called The Word of God. NASB

His clothes are splattered with blood.

This is not a reference to the crucifixion, but of the final judgment.

In ancient days, when armies went into battle, the slaughter was horrific. With spears and knives and swords and arrows and such, the blood was up close and very personal, and spilled literally, everywhere. A survivor could not escape without having blood splattered all over themselves.

This is the blood of the enemy, of the dead and dying that were among the defeated.

And here is the picture of the final battle in which Christ will virtually destroy His enemies.

This is imagery remember, and though the battle has not yet been fought, its results are portrayed with the certainty of their outcome.

Isa, 63:1-6, better describes the battle and its results.

And without a doubt now, His name is mentioned and the rider is identified with unmistakable clarity. His name is the Word of God, which is clearly referred to in John 1:1, 14, and 1 Jn. 1:1.

This is the second person of the Trinity, the incarnate Son of God, the Messiah identified in the Old Testament as Joshua Messiah, and in the New Testament as Jesus Christ, both names carrying the same meaning. He is the revelation of truth, the revelation of God, the radiance of Gods glory and the exact representation of His essence and nature, Heb. 1:3.

By this name, no other person or creature has ever been called or identified.

There is only one unique person in this universe, both God and man in one person, and that person is Jesus Christ.

Remember one thing that is certain. No matter what you say or think or do in your daily life, there is a certain destiny for us all, and it is not to get to the weekend or to retirement or to see humanity rise to a level of ascension equal with perfection.

What you do now in your daily life, is there just to get you through this life and give you an opportunity to get yourself prepared of the next life. So, your daily routine needs to include a daily Bible study so that you can incorporate that spiritual preparation in your life now.

For it is in eternity that you were destined to live your life to its fullest, not now.

Now is the class room, eternity is the graduation.

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
