Romans 5:15

15 But [alla] not [ou] as [hos] the offence [paraptoma], so [houto] also [kai] is the free gift [charisma]. For [gar] if [ei] through the offence [paraptoma] of one [heis] many [polus] be dead [apothnesko], much [polus] more [mallon] the grace [charis] of God [theos], and [kai] the gift [dorea] by [en] grace [charis], which is [ho] by one [heis] man [anthropos], Jesus [Iesous] Christ [Christos], hath abounded [perisseuo] unto [eis] many [polus].   KJV-Interlinear

15 But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through one man’s trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift by the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many.   ESV

This verse demonstrates a huge contrast between what Adam had prior to his fall, versus what Adam had after his fall, and subsequently to what Adam had after his salvation or rebirth by believing in the promised Savior.

The first point is that as a result of Adam’s first sin, which is commonly referred to as the fall of Adam, the entire human race also fell as a result of that sin. Through Adam all died. And this is a reference to spiritual death is a result of that sin which is handed down through the male to all generations.

When God created Adam, Adam had forever life. If Adam had never sinned he could’ve lived forever in the garden. That is not really a bad thing, however, as a result of Adam sin and spiritual death, God gave Adam an opportunity to have eternal life, which is different from forever life.

Forever life, is simply Adam living in the Garden of Eden on planet earth.

Eternal life on the other hand, means living with God forever in eternity, in heaven, and the entire universe, and with far greater blessings and benefits.

So when Paul says, much more, then we have to realize that eternal life is a phenomenally greater blessing of life, than what Adam had in the garden.

Therefore, Adam was created, and Adam committed a sin. For that, some might blame Adam for all of our troubles and woes that we have in the world.

But not so.

Adam did, only what everyone else in history has done. He sinned, and we all have sinned. So we cannot blame Adam for something that we are all guilty of, because when God looked down through the tunnel of time He saw all of the possibilities for history. And in all of those possibilities, creation failed, and therefore the necessity for a plan for salvation, and a correction of that failure.

You cannot blame God for all of the woes and problems we have in this world, because he didn’t create them, nor cause them. People did that themselves.

But what God did do was create life and then set the stage for man’s potential failure, which man did fail, and that opened up the opportunity for an even greater life, eternal life, by means of the salvation plan of Jesus Christ.

It also opened up the opportunity for each one of us to be born, and have a life of our own. Note that Adam and Eve did not have children while in the Garden. Children came only after they had sinned and were out of the Garden. Without any sins, Adam and Eve could easily have been the only two humans ever, and forever. But with sin, oddly enough, we have been given our opportunity for an existence. All things worked together for good, and in this case, that good was and is our individual lives.

And even though we have to endure to the difficulties of this world, which by the way is the Devils world, a perfect garden, a perfect environment, a perfect world, even a perfect life, will not solve the ultimate woes of humanity.

Only faith in Jesus Christ, because of what He did, and who He is, will ultimately lead to the perfect solution. The solution which will last for all of eternity. And a solution that will be greater than the initial creation could ever be.

And one final point. This life and this opportunity is all free, a gift courtesy of the grace of God. You cannot earn it and you do not even deserve it. But you do have a responsibility to pursue it.

These studies, are a part of the massive daily study web site at DailyBibeStudy.Org, that is easily accessible, and are written, so that you can come to Christ if you have not done so already, and therefore not be lost forever.

And if you have already believed in Christ, then these studies are written so you can learn and understand and grow in your spiritual life, so that you can come to the full knowledge of Christ, so that you can fulfill your meaning and purpose in life as God intended for you, and so you can qualify for a phenomenal eternal reward which you will have forever.

To ignore this opportunity to pursue a daily study means you will be incomplete, unfulfilled and you will lose out, big time.

The Daily Bible Study is online, making it possible as never before in all of human history, to advance in ones relationship with God, through Christ, and to complete yourself beyond your imagination.

But you have to decide to make that commitment. No one else can study for you. You have to do that yourself.
