Dan. 7:19-22

Lesson # Dan. 7:19-22
Study Material - Dan. 7:19-22

You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.

Dan. 7:19-22

19 'Then I desired to know the exact meaning of the fourth beast, which was different from all the others, exceedingly dreadful, with its teeth of iron and its claws of bronze, and which devoured, crushed, and trampled down the remainder with its feet, 20 and the meaning of the ten horns that were on its head, and the other horn which came up, and before which three of them fell, namely, that horn which had eyes and a mouth uttering great boasts, and which was larger in appearance than its associates. 21 'I kept looking, and that horn was waging war with the saints and overpowering them 22 until the Ancient of Days came, and judgment was passed in favor of the saints of the Highest One, and the time arrived when the saints took possession of the kingdom.

Additional facts are revealed regarding the ten horns and the little eleventh horn which will rise up among them.

Whereas the first three beasts were represented by animals namely the lion and eagle, the bear, the leopard, all of which represent the basics of a jungle environment in its natural state. Then the fourth beast is so different to Daniel because he has not seen the like of it. History up until the fourth beast has not seen the like of it.

The fourth beast is mostly of man made representations, iron, and bronze. This is more of a manufacturing or technological advancement in nations which are of the future relative to Daniel. Rome, comes first in the sequence. It is crushed, reference to Nebuchadnezzar's dream. Out of it will rise ten nations, or empires, which as we have already seen via John's writing in 96 A.D., in Revelation, had not come into existence yet. Then a little horn will rise up and destroy three of the ten. The ten will give over their authority to the eleventh little horn which will rise up and seize its power. That is the sole purpose of their (the seven) existence - to give over their power to the eleventh horn. So the little horn is subsequent to the ten.

The little horn, which we will here call the anti-christ, will wage war against the saints. He will wage war against the saints (believers in Christ), and successfully, until the Ancient of Days returns. Christ is the Ancient of Days, and He will return after He has been given the right of judgment as a result of the Cross, and then seated at the right hand of the Father. He will return at the Second Advent which is the termination of the End of the Age, which is Daniel's current Age, the Age of Israel.

The chronological sequence here is pretty clear. The Age of Israel will continue and during its final days (years) the last and final beast will rule and wage war on the saints. Then Christ will return. No where in this sequence is there a Millennium where there is peace and prosperity and the lion will lie down with the lamb. Therefore the Millennium is 'post' Age of Israel. There are those who believe that the Millennium come in before the Tribulation and the final conflict, but there is no basis within the Bible for that concept.

After the Ancient of Days returns and judges the world, then the saints will seize possession of the kingdom. And that is the kingdom of God which will then be established on earth. See verse 22 in our study today. The Millennium will be ushered in following the defeat of all anti-God nations. Those nations who were raised up out of the sea. From this world they came, and to the same dust they will return. Only Gods kingdom which originates from heaven, and based on heavens policies, will reign forever, and ever.

The only piece of information which has been left out of this chronology is the Church Age. On that subject the Old Testament is silent. God preserves the Royal Family and does not reveal it until the first advent of Christ.

Daniel has another prophecy which we call the seventy weeks prophecy, and that defines the amount of time remaining in the Age of Israel. The seventy weeks are seventy weeks of seven years, or 70 x 7 which equals 490 years. But in the 69th weeks of seven there will be an interruption, the Church Age, and our Age will continue until its completion which is the Rapture of the Church. Then the last and final week of the Age of Israel will resume and continue for its final seven years, or last week of Daniel's prophecy. This is the Tribulation period. And the Tribulation will end with the Second Advent of Christ.

The little horn has eyes, and therefore mentality, or human mentality. This is a man, not an angel, not an animal and not a disease of some type. He will boast, and therefore he is arrogant as Satan was in the beginning of his fall. He will have great power and for that you'll have to turn to the study in Revelation of the first six seals or scrolls. There he will claim great things and promise great prosperity for the world. The world will be in a shambles and he will make matters far worse with his promised utopia. And do you think that people will follow such a lie? Of course, they will follow by the billions and they will blame the Christians for the failures, too. Aren't millions following Islam, and this Usama fellow? Don't young Arabs strap bombs to themselves and then go out in hopes of gaining greatness in Paradise and of course their promise of virgins? So it will be on a grander scale in the future.

Nothing in history happens by chance. All things in history are a prelude to future events. As Solomon states, nothing has happened that has not already happened, and it will happen again. So patterns are being established for the future. If you take Hitler and Usama, and other disgusting types of the past, and then put them altogether, then you will have a pretty clear picture of the anti-christ. A very pleasant fellow, well spoken, well educated, and very deceptive and extremely evil. People will follow the smile and the promises, and then they will meet their doom. But a lot of innocents will get killed along the way.

That is an end time which you and I will not see, because when the Rapture occurs, all believers will be taken away from the earth, leaving only unbelievers on the face of the earth, and from this population of unbelievers, the Tribulational believers will rise as well as the worst conditions and misery in history.

In the end, believers who remain alive at the Second Advent will populate the world for the beginning of the Millennium. All unbelievers will die at Christ's return. Their blood will flow as high as the horses bridle and it will take six months to bury them all. And that will leave a lasting impression on all who are alive in that time. Sometimes it takes a very dramatic event to get peoples attention and to get them focused on God in their life.

Now is the time to post a prayer.

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
