Dan. 7:26

Lesson # Dan. 7:26
Study Material - Dan. 7:26

You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.

Dan. 7:26

26 'But the court will sit for judgment, and his dominion will be taken away, annihilated and destroyed forever.

Regardless of the course of history, regardless of those who might see themselves as great, regardless of any event in history, there is always a high court in heaven in session around the clock. No one gets away with anything.

Often times I think that folks get the impression that there is a different God in the Old Testament verses the New Testament. Not sure what they think happened to that Old Testament God, but they just think that the New Testament replaced the Old for some reason. Couldn't be further from the truth.

There is but one subject of the entire Bible, and that subject is Jesus Christ. From Genesis He is the promised Savior. From Revelation He is the glorified unique person of the universe, the God/man in one unique person. Both pivot around the Cross which is the balancing point of all of history.

The court in heaven is chaired by Christ, the Son of God. He is said to be the Ancient of Days. Christ has been around since eternity past. He never had a beginning and He will never have an end. He is eternal.

The kingdoms of earth, especially the last one, which will be by far the worst, all have their beginnings and a set time frame for their existence. At this point in time in Daniel's life, the writing on the wall has not yet occurred, but when it does happen, Daniel will know immediately what its meaning is. Daniel will have had an understanding of Nebuchadnezzar's dream, this first dream of his own, and in the next chapter yet another dream. These last two dreams occurring at the beginning of the reign of the last king of Babylon.

He will understand exactly that each successive kingdom will come to its end and be judged accordingly. It will be no different with our present age. Unless we are at the last generation of our dispensation, then the nations on earth could very well change. Difficult to imagine since Western Europe, the America's, Australia and many other nations seem to be pretty stable. Yet if another generation grows up without Bible doctrine in their souls, then things can change dramatically. Personally I don't think that this will be the case. I think that the next great test on planet earth will be overpopulation (along with all the problems that will accompany it - unemployment, homelessness, famine, disease, transportation, education, crime, and on and on) and that it will most likely be severely tested in this current century, then the end will be ripe to occur. This assumes that the population will double every 30 years or so, which means that we will have a population on this planet flirting with 50 billion, a hundred years from now, verses our current population of just over 6 billion today. But that is my own personal opinion. Of course something could happen to slow the population rate, or reverse it (disease, war), or even speed it up.

Anyway, regardless of our future, heavens court will always be in session. In its chair will sit Jesus Christ, with his of huge staff bringing an endless flow of evidence concerning the nations. The books of evidence will be opened and the judgments handed down one by one. Note that this court handles the processing of nations. Other sets of books deal with individuals, and still other books will deal with the final judgment at the end of history (the book of life and the book of works). We will be participants in the evaluations we will receive at the Judgment Seat of Christ, and that is where we need to be. We will not be participants at the Great White Throne at the end of history when unbelievers will be judged. That is a judgment we would not want to be a part of, and as believers we will miss it.

The evil and wicked peoples and nations of the world have their destiny. Regardless of their supposed victories in the jungle of earth, they will all come to a very depressing and miserable end. They will be annihilated and totally destroyed. They will have no second chance, no opportunity to redeem themselves, nor even change their minds. In life we all have opportunities to change for God, but after death, that door is closed.

In life we all have opportunities to advance to maturity and to qualify for eternal rewards, not to mention having a better life on this earth. But after death that door closes.

All who pursue evil, and that includes anyone and everyone who ignores God in their life, will miss out on tremendous opportunities in the future and will with certainty, end up miserable and doomed. The only way to avoid that kind of future, is to begin and maintain a daily Bible study. Remember that the court is open. Christ sits on that throne. Lightening will not strike you immediately when you fail in that courts eyes, so do not be fooled into thinking that that high court is asleep on your file. When the lightening does strike, then it will be too late to change. Forewarned.

Now is the time to post a prayer.

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
