Ecclesiastes 6:11

Lesson # Eccl. 6:11
Study Material - Eccl. 6:11

You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.

Eccl. 6:11

11 For there are many words which increase futility. What then is the advantage to a man?

Life from the perspective of the jungle is ambiguous at best. Even those who think they have the street smarts, or academic wisdom, or work experience, but lack spiritual wisdom, will come to a gruesome end.

The world is filled with many opinions. Listen to the TV, or radio, read the news print, or politicians, take in the many advertisements that try to convince you that life is better with this product or that, or listen to the many religious beliefs in the world, and you'll be confused at best. Only if you have some accurate spiritual knowledge as obtained from the Bible (and there are many that bastardize the Bible, for sure, for their own selfish ends), will you then have something useful that will help you sort out all of the false concepts in life.

If the world is full of deceit (Satan would have it no other way) and if you pursue that deceit for your own goals in life, then your pursuit is off on the wrong foot and in the wrong direction along your entire life. What advantage is there? None.

All of the talent, all of the advantages that money, family name, status, education, and just living on the right side of the tracks, give you no real leg up on anyone else, especially those who are in poverty. This assumes that you are ignoring Bible doctrine in your life. There is nothing wrong with having things, or even pursuing things to have a better life for yourself and family, so long as your spiritual priorities are straight in life (you study you Bible daily and grow up spiritually, and remain as a resident in fellowship throughout).

By advancing in your spiritual life and by residing in that spiritual bubble of Gods refuge (fellowship, standing on Holy ground, living in Gods presence, and many other synonymous terms which the Bible uses for this concept), then you have many advantages, actually infinite advantages which the 'negative person does not have.

Negative people, rich or poor, have no advantages in life, no matter how 'lucky', or jungle smart, or talented they might be.

Throughout life we all have choices. We can either attempt to persevere in our spiritual study, or we can give up on it (because it doesn't seem to work). Expectations need to be reviewed. Most people have unreasonable expectations. You cannot read a verse or two and think that, that is all you need. You can't study for a year, and think that, that is all you need. Your spiritual growth will not come quickly. There are no drive through studies for quick and instant wisdom.

Spiritual growth comes from patiently studying verse by verse, precept by precept, day in and day out for every day of your life. To look to God for the only purpose of getting you out of a specific jam is the wrong approach. Committ you life to a daily study program, remain in fellowship (very important), and the jams of life will come and go, and you will be far better off than anyone in life who does not have the spiritual advantages that you will have.

The futility's of life can be better sorted out with doctrine in your soul. Good decisions give you better choices and better opportunities.

Now is the time to post a prayer.

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
