Exodus 3:6

Lesson # Exodus 3:6
Study Material - Exodus 3:6

You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.

Ex. 3:6

6 He said also, 'I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.' Then Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God.

Jesus Christ identifies Himself. There is only one God in existence. Any other reference to anything like a god is false. Any and all idols are false, the god of Islam is false. Likewise with Buddha, Hinduism's oneness with nature and such, the various gods of Egypt such as Ra, the things that peoples have worshiped throughout the ages - eagles, fish, nature, stars, wind, and whatever else you can think of, even today's philosophies and technologies. These are all false gods. They are all false deities. They can neither think, nor walk and talk. They have no ears nor eyes. They do not have the power to make or create anything let alone sustain anything.

There is only one God. He has lived throughout history and prior to history. The Old Testament has a God. The New Testament has a God. They are one and the same. Nothing changed when the Testaments changed. There was merely a before the Cross view looking forward, and an after the Cross view looking back toward the Cross in a historical sense.

God appeared to the forefathers of Moses. He brought them life and blessing. He delivered them when they got into trouble. He sustained them throughout their lives, even when they were somewhat confused about God. God is always faithful while man is not. Reliance should be focused on God, not mankind.

When we live our lives, we need to focus on the Word of God and how it applies to our lives. We need to focus on what it is we are either doing right or wrong in our lives with respect to our spiritual growth and spiritual existence. Then we need to correct any errors we may be practicing, or continue everything that we are doing right.

In our current day a great disaster has occurred. It occurred over a month ago in New York. Some very misguided and extremely evil and arrogant people have tried to set the world into turmoil. Unfortunately their actions have brought fears and some forms of instability into the economies of the world. Many folks have lost their jobs. Sales have fallen off in many areas. So the harm done has reached far beyond those plane crashes.

But these evil people have set themselves against God, the one true God and His plan for each of our lives. They cannot alter Gods plan. They cannot change nor divert anything which God wills. This includes not only the worlds direction in history, but more important for you and me, each of our personal directions.

That same God, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob. That same God of Daniel, of Job, of Elijah and Paul. That same God who became man and went to the Cross, Jesus Christ. The same God who is sitting right now at the right hand of the Father in heaven and who has his arm and hand locked tightly on the lever of history ready to throw it. The same who created the universe and rules it and sustains it. That same God is the one who holds each one of us in His very own hands.

Is your life on track? Are you studying your Bible everyday? Are you maintaining a status of fellowship everyday? Are you monitoring your fellowship status throughout the day? Are you thinking or pondering the spiritual lessons that you learn everyday? Are you applying what you have learned to your life?

Or, are you just going through the motions and really not going anywhere? If your answer is positive to the previous questions (excluding that last one of course), then you have nothing to worry about. You may be having a very good life regardless of the current state of the economy. You need to continue in your Bible study. You may be having a very disrupted life - fired, evicted, divorced, sick, whatever. You need to continue with your Bible study.

God will present you with options. Think! That is the first order of business. Do not get emotional and cry in your soup. Think! The options will present themselves and you will follow a correct path which God in eternity past laid out for you.

If however, you have been false in your Bible study, then you are in for a hard road. The same God who blesses also curses. God has unlimited power to bless as well as to judge.

Moses has lived these 80 years with many ideas as to what his life was all about. He had preconceived ideas while in Egypt. He was sort of right, but wrong on the source. Now he has been leading sheep around for 40 years and his thinking has been more stabilized. He has become happy and contented with his life. He has an occupation, a wife, a family. He is a long way from the troubles in Egypt. He has forgotten his former life.

But God has not forgotten. God remembers everything, and when God makes promises, He keeps them. Moses fell on his face in total fear. He had just been moseying along with the sheep and stopped to check out the bush. Now suddenly His life is before God. One day, you will be moseying along in your life and then something dramatic will hit you square in the face and you will, hopefully, wake up and realize Gods presence in your life.

Moses had been learning a little everyday for 40 years and his shock came before him in a time of prosperity. That is the preferable way to come face to face with God - on Gods terms. The Israelites have been in slavery for 400 years plus. They will meet God as a result of their misery which came from a lifetime of negative volition toward God. They are in misery and only after great hardships have turned to God. Your life will be far better if you get with a Bible study program now and keep on it.

Moses fell on his face. In humility Moses faced God. We all need to check our arrogance at the door of our lives and leave it outside of our lives.

Now is the time to post a prayer.

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
