Eze. 1:11-14

11 Thus were their faces [paniym]: and their wings [kanaph] were stretched [parad] upward [ma`al]; two [shanayim] wings of every one [iysh] were joined [chabar] one [iysh] to another [iysh], and two [shanayim] covered [kacah] their bodies [gaviyah].
12 And they went [yalak] every one [iysh] straight [eber] forward [paniym]: whither the spirit [ruwach] was to go [yalak], they went [yalak]; and they turned [cabab] not when they went [yalak].
13 As for the likeness [damuwth] of the living creatures [chay], their appearance [mar'eh] was like burning [ba`ar] coals [gechel] of fire [esh], and like the appearance [mar'eh] of lamps [lappiyd]: it went up and down [halak] among the living creatures [chay]; and the fire [esh] was bright [nogahh], and out of the fire [esh] went forth [yatsa] lightning [baraq].
14 And the living creatures [chay] ran [ratsa] and returned [shuwb] as the appearance [mar'eh] of a flash of lightning [bazaq]. KJV-Interlinear

11 Such were their faces. Their wings were spread out above; each had two touching another being, and two covering their bodies. 12 And each went straight forward; wherever the spirit was about to go, they would go, without turning as they went. 13 In the midst of the living beings there was something that looked like burning coals of fire, like torches darting back and forth among the living beings. The fire was bright, and lightning was flashing from the fire. 14 And the living beings ran to and fro like bolts of lightning. NASB

God is the divine source of life in all its forms, biological, moral, intellectual, spiritual. It is He who gives unity, purpose, and harmony to the movements of the 'living creatures,' as He gives life, harmony, unity, and purpose to all the manifold manifestations of the might of God of which these angels are the symbols.

Their wings spread wing tip to wing tip form an impenetrable box, a fortress into which there is no entrance except by means of the only authorized entrance - Jesus Christ.

The two cherubs positioned on top of the Ark of the Covenant, stood over the mercy seat with their wings touching symbolizing the work of Christ and the satisfaction of Gods righteousness and Gods justice. Thus these four angels stand wing tip to wing tip forming a defensive shield, protecting all access to the throne of God.

Their bodies, of human form, are protected from within the perimeter of the throne, and are not on the outside of that protected area.

Whenever the Spirit moves, the angels move also. Recall that the angels represent Gods chosen nation, in formation, under His rule, who all move simultaneously and uniformly, with unity of purpose, a single purpose, and unity of direction, all in the same direction of truth, and under the unity of command, one commander - Jesus Christ.

In heaven no one will move either to the left or to the right of truth.

All powered by the eternal fire of Gods will. The burning coals in the midst of the vision are Gods passion and infinite resources from which He may draw. Constantly darting back and forth under continual watch and on station continually doing His own will.

The lightning signifies the power and quickness and intensity of Gods sovereign will and purpose and action.

There is only one power and authority and sovereignty in existence, and that is in heaven. The nations try as they might, to define their own existence and direction. They bounce about as the waves of the sea, the sea in many passages, representing the nations, but one day there will be no more sea as the nations of this earth, who function in disregard to God and His plan, will cease to exist.

Satan's works are works of darkness. He is the ruler of the darkness of this world. But the angels of light are in the light, and, though they protect their working, they show their work by means of the torches which pave the way of truth in total light for all to see.

God in His heaven and all of His plans and works and words are very much alive and real. To disregard Him and them is the biggest mistake that anyone can ever make.

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
