Eze. 1:22-24

22 And the likeness [damuwth] of the firmament [raqiya] upon the heads [ro'sh] of the living creature [chay] was as the colour [ayin] of the terrible [yare] crystal [qerach], stretched forth [natah] over their heads [ro'sh] above [ma`al].
23 And under the firmament [raqiya] were their wings [kanaph] straight [yashar], the one [ishshah] toward the other [achowth]: every one [iysh] had two [shanayim], which covered [kacah] on this side [hennah], and every one [iysh] had two [shanayim], which covered [kacah] on that side [hennah], their bodies [gaviyah].
24 And when they went [yalak], I heard [shama] the noise [qowl] of their wings [kanaph], like the noise [qowl] of great [rab] waters [mayim], as the voice [qowl] of the Almighty [Shadday], the voice [qowl] of speech [hamullah], as the noise [qowl] of an host [machaneh]: when they stood [amad], they let down [raphah] their wings [kanaph]. KJV-Interlinear

22 Now over the heads of the living beings there was something like an expanse, like the awesome gleam of crystal, extended over their heads. 23 And under the expanse their wings were stretched out straight, one toward the other; each one also had two wings covering their bodies on the one side and on the other. 24 I also heard the sound of their wings like the sound of abundant waters as they went, like the voice of the Almighty, a sound of tumult like the sound of an army camp; whenever they stood still, they dropped their wings. NASB

As Ezekiel saw the image of the chariot, his eyes were drawn higher above the image to see the sky (the expanse) of heaven vast and clear and awesome. As one might perceive the clear crisp morning sky over the ocean. It is vast and bright in the morning sun. Only this is an image of heaven which is far more vast and far brighter than anything anywhere on the earth.

This is far different than his initial view of the image as a dark and terror filled storm cloud coming down from out of the north.

In heaven all things are clear. On the earth not everything is clear and are often cast in the deceptions of the worlds philosophies.

God is above the expanse, the living beings are beneath it, however all of Gods truth extends to the far corners of all that exists.

When the creatures flapped their wings in their movement, they made a the noise similar to that of vast armies on the move, thundering, charging into battle. The thundering voice of God is heard throughout the expanse, throughout the universe and heaven. His word and power extend to all corners of all that exists.

By the way this confirms that there is but one God. There is not a separate God for each galaxy. There is but one Christ, one salvation, therefore one sacrifice on the one cross. Christ did not go to the cross in each separate galaxy in behalf of folks who live elsewhere in the universe, because there are no other living beings elsewhere in the universe. Only on planet earth is there life.

Job 40:9
9 'Or do you have an arm like God, And can you thunder with a voice like His? NASB

Psa. 104:7
7 At Thy rebuke they fled; At the sound of Thy thunder they hurried away. NASB

What is done on earth is done under the heaven, under its inspection and influence.

The terrible view would be similar to the view of vast snow capped mountains. They are awesome and beautiful, but there is also a sense of terror in the threats they can pose to anyone who ventures into them.

Ex. 24:10
10 and they saw the God of Israel; and under His feet there appeared to be a pavement of sapphire, as clear as the sky itself. NASB

And when the wings stopped, they rested at their side and there would be silence. Total quite. The quiet before the storm. The grace before His judgment.

At the Second Advent, the armies of the earth will be deeply involved in battle. The sounds and smells will be overwhelming. Then there will be a supernatural darkness and all noise will come to a point of silence which will be short lived. That will be the only time on this entire earth that silence will exist throughout the world. Everyone will have that moment to reflect on the coming judgment and their decision with regard to Christ. Then judgment will come with the fury of Gods assault against the earth. Then all reflection will come to an end.

In your individual life you have many opportunities to reflect on your life and what exactly God expects of you and whether or not you are in compliance with His will. You can know His will by simply entering into, and sticking with, a daily Bible study. It is that easy.

But do not waste your entire life and come to its end to discover that you have wasted your life exchanging it for the enticements of the world through the indifference (toward God) of your mind.

Now is the time to post a prayer.

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
