Eze. 5:12-13

12 A third part [shaliyshiy] of thee shall die [muwth] with the pestilence [deber], and with famine [ra`ab] shall they be consumed [kalah] in the midst [tavek] of thee: and a third part [shaliyshiy] shall fall [naphal] by the sword [chereb] round about [cabiyb] thee; and I will scatter [zarah] a third part [shaliyshiy] into all the winds [ruwach], and I will draw out [ruwq] a sword [chereb] after [achar] them.
13 Thus shall mine anger [aph] be accomplished [kalah], and I will cause my fury [chemah] to rest [nuwach] upon them, and I will be comforted [nacham]: and they shall know [yada] that I the LORD [Yahovah] have spoken [dabar] it in my zeal [qin'ah], when I have accomplished [kalah] my fury [chemah] in them. KJV-Interlinear

12 'One third of you will die by plague or be consumed by famine among you, one third will fall by the sword around you, and one third I will scatter to every wind, and I will unsheathe a sword behind them. 13 'Thus My anger will be spent, and I will satisfy My wrath on them, and I shall be appeased; then they will know that I, the LORD, have spoken in My zeal when I have spent My wrath upon them. NASB

Just as the hair of Ezekiel was cut off and divided up into three portions, so now is the explanation of that sign.

One third of the people of Jerusalem would die while the city was under siege. They starved and diseased their souls for lack of doctrine for the better portion of their lives, so now God was going to starve and disease them to demonstrate by means of the physical world just what happens to the soul in the spiritual world when it is starved of the only food necessary to keep the soul healthy and whole.

The second third of the people are to die violently. They chose the world and the jungle to live in. This is the nature of the jungle. All residents become the victims of the jungle sooner or later. Even the bigger and stronger and faster get old and they become the prey to others who are younger, or they fall victim to the elements. No one is safe.

There is no eternal life in the jungle. You are born. You live. And, you die. Unless you find a way out of the jungle and into a better place, then the jungle and death are your destiny.

There are only two environments in which you could live - the jungle or in Gods will. We call Gods will, fellowship. There is no third choice.

By living in the jungle there is no satisfaction, no contentment, no happiness. Life will never go your way, so you will always be unhappy about something, and you will always find fault or blame in someone else. Pettiness rules your life.

The third part of this group will run or be chased into parts unknown. Some will survive. Others will be caught or caught up in the troubles of another place and perish in another fashion.

Very few will open their eyes and see the cause of their problems (themselves) and then proceed to do something about it (turn to God in the proper manner).

In life there are no certainties which come out of the jungle except failure, misery, and loss. There is and never will be anything good. God gives us all information and many warnings as to the repercussions of our choice to live in the jungle. To many people ignore them all. And after a time, then the growing apostasy culminates in huge disasters (judgments), and none of them will be fun or happy occasions.

God never compromises His standards. Jesus Christ controls history. He guides and directs history even by permitting bad things to occur. In so doing, His justice is appeased as mankind, so to speak, falls on his own sword.

When people are so far gone that they totally reject God, then when disaster strikes, they become even more defiant against God. This rejection of God is a prayer answered and God backs out of their life. The jungle takes control and disaster follows.

God responds not, because the negative people ask not. Negative people ask not because their souls have become so starved and ravaged by the disease of the sin nature, that they have forfeited their ability to change their own mind.

Ever wonder why the people, who when facing the Lake of Fire, will continue to defy God? It is because they are totally negative, defiant, and resistant to truth. Thy will fall right into the Lake of Fire, hating God all of the way.

Ever wonder why a people who know that disaster is coming, will not make the right decisions to get out of harms way? They do not believe all of this Bible stuff. You can look in the mirror and get your own answer!!

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
