Eze. 6:11-12

11 Thus saith [amar] the Lord [Adonay] GOD [Yahovih]; Smite [nakah] with thine hand [kaph], and stamp [raqa] with thy foot [regel], and say [amar], Alas [ach] for all the evil [ra] abominations [tow`ebah] of the house [bayith] of Israel [Yisra'el]! for they shall fall [naphal] by the sword [chereb], by the famine [ra`ab], and by the pestilence [deber].
12 He that is far off [rachowq] shall die [muwth] of the pestilence [deber]; and he that is near [qarowb] shall fall [naphal] by the sword [chereb]; and he that remaineth [sha'ar] and is besieged [natsar] shall die [muwth] by the famine [ra`ab]: thus will I accomplish [kalah] my fury [chemah] upon them. KJV-Interlinear

11 'Thus says the Lord GOD, 'Clap your hand, stamp your foot, and say,' Alas, because of all the evil abominations of the house of Israel, which will fall by sword, famine, and plague! 12 'He who is far off will die by the plague, and he who is near will fall by the sword, and he who remains and is besieged will die by the famine. Thus shall I spend My wrath on them. NASB

Ezekiel is to speak out with contempt. He is to make noise with his hands and feet in a dramatic and emphasized action to demonstrate his indignation.

Why? Because people have heard the prophecies from both him and Jeremiah. They have seen the historical events of the fall of the Northern Kingdom. Its contempt against God, its attacks against the Southern Kingdom (Judah) and its utter failure and disappearance from history. And yet the general population was indifferent toward the warnings which were coming from Ezekiel. They ignored virtually everything he was saying.

It is no different today in our current time. People see the problems of the world. They see the recent disasters. And yet the news media continues in their arrogant efforts to drive events in the direction they want history to go, at the expense of truth and accuracy. Political and legal manipulations continue their distortions of legitimate legislative and law and order processes.

And despite the controversies in the limelight, the daily lives of the common person continue without skipping a beat.

The big difference between today and Ezekiel's time is that our country has a greater spiritual component than did his. But we are not without our flaws and potential sources of discipline. Yet another hurricane is stirring up in the Gulf. They say, the biggest one yet in recorded history. Perhaps this one will take a hard right turn and go past Florida and back out into the Atlantic. The next few days will reveal the plans of this storm.

In Jerusalem there were those who stayed right where they were, there were those who tried to get out ahead of time, and there were those who tried to escape. This all represents the fact that, for the wicked, there is nowhere that they can run to, and nowhere that they can hide from impending judgment.

If God has judgment scheduled against you, then you are going to get hammered. There is nothing you can do to escape Gods wrath. Except of course, you can repent legitimately and turn your life around. In that case, God will deliver you from the trouble. You might still have to live through some of the trouble, but God will make things easier and tolerable for you.

All in all, the best way to avoid problems in your life is to get with a daily Bible study and stick with it regardless of the circumstances of your life. You will still see problems from time to time. This is the Devils world. But God never places a difficulty before you, that you cannot handle.

This is not true for the perpetually negative person. The difficulties they will face are overwhelming for several reasons. First, to place in check the arrogance of the negative person (major humbling). Second to demonstrate that they are not really in charge of their own life. And third, to turn their attitude around.

Those who get it, qualify themselves for the remnant class of people to whom God will show greater mercy in times of trouble. Those who resist changing their lives will get hammered sooner or later in life.

God warns repeatedly, over and over, again and again. The repetition can get monotonous, but the repercussions of ignoring God are far worse than just having to listen to, or studying the warnings over and over again.

The benefits of heeding Gods warnings and getting with your spiritual life are far greater than the alternative.

Now is the time to post a prayer.

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
