Eze. 38:18-19

18 And it shall come to pass at the same time [yowm] when [yowm] Gog [Gowg] shall come [bow'] against the land ['adamah] of Israel [Yisra'el], saith [na'um] the Lord ['Adonay] GOD [Yahovih], that my fury [chemah] shall come up [`alah] in my face ['aph].

19 For in my jealousy [qin'ah] and in the fire ['esh] of my wrath [`ebrah] have I spoken [dabar], Surely in that day [yowm] there shall be a great [gadowl] shaking [ra`ash] in the land ['adamah] of Israel [Yisra'el]; KJV-Interlinear

18 And it will come about on that day, when Gog comes against the land of Israel, declares the Lord GOD, that My fury will mount up in My anger. 19 And in My zeal and in My blazing wrath I declare that on that day there will surely be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. NASB

Fury here is an expression, which describes a man in his anger who breathes strongly through his nostrils. The nose flares, the cheeks change to a hot flushing red color, the teeth grind together, the eyes grow intense, and the muscles flex to the point of nearly exploding.

This is the symbolism for the Lord s policy, who has had enough of evil in the world. Now, history has come to its end and it is time to put evil in its place once and for all.

There are still a few other events, which will occur before these events just described, take place. But briefly, once the king of the north invades the Middle East, he will continue to roll past Israel and into the rest of the surrounding countries. This will be the great double-cross that will occur between the king of the north, and the king of the south.

A short time will pass as the kings of the east and west recover from the surprise of the fast-paced invasion. Then the king of the west (the anti-christ) will counter attack from the west, the king of the east will counter attack from the east, and missiles will fly across the globe in all directions. Needless to say, the destruction will be great.

The king of the north will reel backwards towards the north because of the counterattacks, which will target Israel, and there, all armies will finally meet for the last great battle.

Jerusalem will be caught up in the middle of it all. The city will be nearly wiped out (two-thirds of its population will die), but some very dramatic fighting will save the one-third who will hold on until the Second Advent.

Prior to the Second Advent, an extreme supernatural darkness will shroud the world, then an extremely violent earthquake will shake the entire planet. The earthquake as foretold in Joel 3:16, Hag. 2:6-7, Matt. 24:29, and Rev. 16:18, will shake the very foundational fabric of the entire planet.

Cities will fall, roads and bridges will collapse, mountains will explode, islands will sink away into the oceans, and tsunamis galore will wipe out all coastlines for miles inland.

With this all happening in total darkness, the terror factor will fly off the charts. Still, humanity will reject God, His power, and His coming.

Then, the brilliant light of His glory at His Second Advent will light up the entire planet. There will be no mistaking this entrance, and return of Christ. People have for along time, wanted to see a sign direct from heaven, and now they will get their wish.

Unfortunately for them (the evil folks of the world), this last wish will be the death of them all.

Christ will be coming back with such zeal, as a war horse extremely high on adrenaline, gallops into the heat of battle, that there will be nothing to stop Him. Events will take place so rapidly, that no one will have much, if any, time to figure out what is happening.

Joel 3:16

16 And the LORD roars from Zion And utters His voice from Jerusalem, And the heavens and the earth tremble. But the LORD is a refuge for His people And a stronghold to the sons of Israel. NASB

Hag. 2:6

6 For thus says the LORD of hosts, 'Once more in a little while, I am going to shake the heavens and the earth, the sea also and the dry land. NASB

Matt. 24:29

29 But immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken, NASB

Rev. 16:18-19

18 And there were flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder; and there was a great earthquake, such as there had not been since man came to be upon the earth, so great an earthquake was it, and so mighty. 19 And the great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. NASB

Jerusalem will split three ways because of the earthquake, in order to separate those who are to be delivered, from those who are to be judged.

Though the worldwide earthquake will begin in total darkness, when Christ arrives and when His foot touches the ground, the local earthquakes in Israel, will continue and increase in their magnitude. Jerusalem will be split and even the entire nation will be divided by a huge gulf running from the northern tip of the Dead Sea westward through Jerusalem, to the Mediterranean Sea. A huge fountain of water will flow up and out of Jerusalem and flow both eastward and westward to those respective seas.

Throughout history, God demonstrates great patience as human history unfolds, giving everyone lots of elbowroom for making their mistakes in life and for recovering from them. But in everyone s life, that patience and time, eventually runs out. And ( It shall come to pass ), for human history, that time will run out at the Second Advent.

Now is the time to post a prayer.

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
