Eze. 39:9-10

9 And they that dwell [yashab] in the cities [`iyr] of Israel [Yisra'el] shall go forth [yatsa'], and shall set [ba`ar] on fire ['esh] and burn [nasaq] the weapons [nesheq], both the shields [magen] and the bucklers [tsinnah], the bows [qesheth] and the arrows [chets], and the handstaves [yad] [maqqel], and the spears [romach], and they shall burn [ba`ar] them with fire ['esh] seven [sheba`] years [shaneh (in pl. only),]:

10 So that they shall take [nasa'] no wood [`ets] out of the field [sadeh], neither cut down [chatab] any out of the forests [ya`ar]; for they shall burn [ba`ar] the weapons [nesheq] with fire ['esh]: and they shall spoil [shalal] those that spoiled [shalal] them, and rob [bazaz] those that robbed [bazaz] them, saith [na'um] the Lord ['Adonay] GOD [Yahovih]. KJV-Interlinear

9 Then those who inhabit the cities of Israel will go out, and make fires with the weapons and burn them, both shields and bucklers, bows and arrows, war clubs and spears and for seven years they will make fires of them. 10 And they will not take wood from the field or gather firewood from the forests, for they will make fires with the weapons; and they will take the spoil of those who despoiled them, and seize the plunder of those who plundered them, declares the Lord GOD. NASB

The legitimate heirs of this universe are those folks who have believed in Christ. Evil forces around the world and throughout history have tried to take that inheritance. An inheritance that does not belong to them, but which property and everything in this world and the universe, belongs to God.

God and God alone has the right to give to whomever He pleases, that which belongs to Him.

Evil tries to steal what does not belong to it.

Human history has a definite destiny. For the majority of the human population, that destiny is not good. Those who choose the path of evil get what they deserve.

So, since human history is going to end up in near disaster, then are we to just give up and do nothing about life now? No. We all have a responsibility to society in our current generation and to the generations to follow. We do not have the right to make things worse, nor do we not try to make things better.

But, to guide us in those responsibilities, we need Bible doctrine, and not self righteousness. Do-gooders can do just as much harm with their self-righteous standards, as a tyrant can do with his tyranny.

Your first obligation to life is to yourself. And that, is to grow up spiritually to spiritual maturity. This gives you knowledge, understanding, wisdom, and more than all of those, faith. This gives you a sense of responsibility and an understanding of just what your obligations are in life.

And, all of this, knowing full well that in the end, it will all come crashing down one day. When that will be, we do not know. The Church Age began at the Feast of Pentecost, fifty days following the Passover. Passover was the one-day feast celebration, on which day was the crucifixion of Christ on the Cross.

Most historians place the Cross, in 30 A.D. The modern calendar was not that great back then. Anyway, if that date is correct, then we are now 1976 years into our dispensation. That is our present year of 2006 minus 30. We are certainly much closer to that fateful date now, than we were many years ago. Yet, the Rapture and thus, the Tribulation, may not occur for another hundred years, or it could all start tomorrow.

When the final battle of history does occur, and when it is finally over, the world will be in a horrible mess. All cities, all roads, all bridges, all public services, all manufacturing, everything that we take for granted today, will have all been destroyed.

What will the folks, who survive the Tribulation, do to remain alive. Well, you can figure that Christ could simply make life perfect, like a genie, or He can teach folks how to make a living despite all of their hardships, or at least all that we could perceive as hardships.

During the next thousand years, people will not experience any more wars, or diseases, or any repetitive historical problems, like we do today. So, they need to have a hard and very long lasting lesson, one which they will not forget. And here it is.

Life may be difficult initially, but then life will get very easy, sooner than you would think.

Survivors will not have the corner store to get their supplies, or fuel to cook with, but they will have immense battlefields full of military supplies, free for the taking. Having access to huge quantities of supplies is the easy part. Just getting over all of the dead bodies will be the lesson to learn.

We will see later on that the body burial detail will go on for many months, but the supplies of food and fuel will last the survivors for seven years. There will be so many supplies that no one will need to go out and cut up fire wood, nor even go hunting for game, in order to cook, travel, or eat. There will be lots of trucks, lots of gasoline or diesel fuel, and certainly lots of food supplies.

With their survival certain and with not having to struggle day after day for ones next meal, what will they do with their spare time? Well, lots of folks will be engaging in some very interesting enterprises collecting things, building things, dismantling things and such. Seven years is a very long time. And, I would bet that many folks will be making babies, especially during that first year.

Meanwhile, the wildlife will begin to repopulate. The forests will begin to grow. And remember, the population of the entire planet will be very, very small, in the beginning of the Millennium. Everyone will make their way to Israel and everyone will be living there until the population grows to the point that folks will begin to repopulate the entire planet. That could take several hundred years. Forests and wildlife around the world will be huge by then. Especially under conditions of a perfect environment.

With the hardships of survival set aside, with no bills to pay, with everything around you, basically free, then people will have lots of time to do what people do best. You can use your imagination to complete that long list of activities.

Now is the time to post a prayer.

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
