Genesis 8:15-19

Lesson # Genesis 8:15-19
Study Material - Genesis 8:15-19

You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.

Gen. 8:15-19

15 Then God spoke to Noah, saying, 16 'Go out of the ark, you and your wife and your sons and your sons' wives with you. 17 Bring out with you every living thing of all flesh that is with you, birds and animals and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, that they may breed abundantly on the earth, and be fruitful and multiply on the earth.' 18 So Noah went out, and his sons and his wife and his sons' wives with him. 19 Every beast, every creeping thing, and every bird, everything that moves on the earth, went out by their families from the ark.

Hab. 2:3, sometimes we have to wait and for a seeming long time for things to happen in our lives, but to those who wait on God, the delay will be for the better. Noah had at last been given the order to vacate the ark. And not only vacate it but discard it forever. Noah is being led into a new life. Hid long time old enclosure was going to be abandoned. Just as we will lose our physical bodies in the resurrection. Just as we lose our sin natures control over us when we advance on spiritual maturity, we too abandon the old and replace it with the new, which God provides. God provides the new body. God provides the doctrine for the new changes in our soul. So now God provided and gave permission to Noah to leave the ark and begin his new life.

Noah waited for Gods command to enter the ark, and Noah waited for Gods command to leave it, even though it appeared that the water had gone away and the ground looked ready for habitation. Yet Noah waited of Gods wisdom and did not depend on his own desires to rule his actions. We must in all our ways acknowledge God, and set Him before us in our daily lives. Those only go under God's protection that follow God's direction and submit to His authority. Those that steadily adhere to God's word as their rule, and are guided by His grace as their principle, and take hints from His Word to assist them in their application of general directions to their daily lives, may in faith see Him guiding their thoughts, motives, decisions and actions in their march through life

In entering the ark, God invited Noah to 'come' into the ark. Noah had the option of not entering into the ark. Noah made the smart choice to accept Gods invitation, just as we should accept Christ as our savior in salvation, and accept Gods Word in our daily Bible study for our spiritual growth. Now God commands to 'go out' of the ark. Noah had spiritual growth and here God commands from within His sphere of doctrine. We are to hear, understand based on our knowledge of doctrine and obey.

In a great procession, and in orderly fashion, Noah and his family and the animals by their respective groups, all came out of the ark. This was not a mad flinging open of gates and a mass herding of everyone out of the ark, but the orderly disembarking from the ark.

God does not do things in a haphazard way. Everything, down to the minutest detail is planned and then carried out with precision and order. God is not a God of confusion, nor a God of spontaneous actions. Review the Decrees chart in the graphics section on the Index page. God knows all that will happen and has known all since eternity past.

God knows where we need to be and when and how we should go about getting there. He knows our needs, our desires, our challenges, the obstacles we will face, and the solutions we will need. We have only to study His word and wait for His guidance.

Noah had the privilege of direct communication from God. Today we do not have this privilege, but we do have the completed scripture in writing. So we do by this writing have an open communication to God. He does not come to us in dreams or visions, or fax, or e-mail, but God does communicate to us through His written word. We learn and understand by means of our daily study and continual fellowship with Him. Within the state of fellowship is where His power becomes real in our lives. Remember too that fellowship is not some emotional experience, but a state of obedience to God, by means of our confession of our sins to God the Father on a regular basis. We sin, we get out of fellowship. We confess to Him, in our private prayer to Him, and we are back into fellowship. It is that simple in policy. Often we get lazy and do not follow through with our practice on a regular basis.

In all we do, we need to acknowledge God. And that is really the bottom line in each of our lives. This does not mean you go out in the street and make a fool of yourself by yelling at people, but rather you acknowledge God by your consistent daily study of His Word, and by your personal spiritual advance to maturity. We do not embrace the world by night in our night life, and go to church on Sundays to make up for it. Our lives have to be consistent moment by moment, day by day.

Now is the time to post a prayer.

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
