Isa. 65:17

17 For, behold, I create [bara'] new [chadash] heavens [shamayim] and a new [chadash] earth ['erets]: and the former [ri'shown] shall not be remembered [zakar], nor come [`alah] into mind [leb]. KJV-Interlinear

17 For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; And the former things shall not be remembered or come to mind. NASB

Genesis 1:1, introduced us to the term, bara. Bara means to create out of nothing. The original creation of the universe was, bara, created out of nothing. The soul of man, for each individual, is created out of nothing, but after a pattern of Gods image, human life which is imputed into the soul is created out of nothing, but comes from the source of God as God breathes life into man.

And now, there will be another creation, or at least at the end of the Millennium, after all of the final judgments have been concluded. This time, the old universe as we know it now, will be destroyed, leaving nothing out there but emptiness. Then, a new universe and a new earth will be created and again, they will be created out of nothing.

All of the former things of life, all of the familiar things out of life, all of the memories and worries and concerns that burden us all in life, all of these will be destroyed, forgotten, and will be no more.

The new universe and earth will not be remakes, or even redesigns, of the old, but will be something entirely new and different.

If a person is going to start over, then there is no reason to drag along the old baggage. The old will be destroyed, and replaced with things that have never existed before.

Maybe a good analogy would be the replacement of the horse with the automobile, or a magic carpet, or an airplane. These new things are very different from the former. In past centuries, people traveled by horse or buggy, or even by sailboat. Today these have been replaced by cars and jets. Never could man, in many centuries past, have imagined these things of today.

Not to mention the notebook computers we have, or music players, radios, televisions, fast foods, microwave ovens, or even the internet. We are comparing our technology with the technology of Isaiah s day, which was about 2800 years ago. Very little existed back then as opposed to what we have today.

When the Millennium is over, when the judgment of all unbelievers is completed, then there will be only believers in Christ, remaining. The popular mindset will be founded in truth. The lies, the false philosophies, the religions, the many arrogant opinions, the stupidity of history will be gone.

The magnitude of the universe is infinite, therefore the changes will become infinite.

Just as Isaiah could never, in his imagination, conceive of the internet, so too, neither you nor I, will be able to imagine what the design or content of the new universe might be. That is beyond our ability to imagine. No matter how many Science Fiction movies you watch, you will never guess what God has in store for us in the future.

Today, the world wrestles over control of the planet. One political party tries to seize power from another. One radical terrorist tries just to kill off all of the folks he calls infidels. Social organizations try to impress others for the sake of their ego. People try to make ends meet from one month to the next. Humanity makes innumerable plans for life.

But when life is all said and done, Gods plan is the better plan, and Gods plan is the plan which will take effect, as all other plans that people have for their life, will fail and cease to exist.

If you were a betting person, and you are because all of life is a gamble, and you went to the racetrack to place a bet on a horse. Then after seeing that all of the horses in the gate were dead, except one, which horse would you bet on?

That living horse is the plan of God, and it is that horse, which will actually run the race and win and continue winning forever. Why do you suppose people constantly bet on the others?

Now is the time to post a prayer.

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
