You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.

Isa. 66:2

2 For all those things hath mine hand [yad] made [`asah], and all those things have been, saith [na'um] the LORD [Yahovah]: but to this man will I look [nabat], even to him that is poor [`aniy] and of a contrite [nakeh] spirit [ruwach], and trembleth [chared] at my word [dabar]. KJV-Interlinear

2 For My hand made all these things, Thus all these things came into being, declares the LORD. But to this one I will look, To him who is humble and contrite of spirit, and who trembles at My word. NASB

Man is generally proud of his own efforts in life. This pride can be legitimate in some cases, when it is in reality an expression of confidence due to wisdom, but unfortunately, in most cases, pride is a twisted view and an over estimation of ones own worth.

The big downfall of the Jewish peoples back in Isaiah s day, and even throughout all of history, comes from their view that they are Gods people first and always, that their beliefs are the cornerstone of their faith, and that their own ideas regarding God far exceed those of any other people on the earth.

They have the scriptures, and the Temple, and the history to prove their point. In fact, since they have so much, then obviously they are a superior people of sorts. All other Gentiles are unworthy.

This is the identical attitude of Islam toward the infidels of the world.

This is the same attitude of anyone who is indifferent toward God, I don t need God. I have my own beliefs, which are obviously superior to those truths of God

But, in this chapter, God will point out the fallacy of the views, all of the views, of mankind.

Some religions believe that they are the chosen of God, and that they have some form of privilege, as it were, to be able to do most anything that their religion invents. They can issue regulations and standards and make their followers obey the new rules, by the mere vote of the majority of their leadership.

But, here God reminds us all that we are not the driving force of life, nor are we the inventors of truth.

God created the entire universe, not man. God created all life, not man. God created all of the natural laws we have discovered in the sciences, not man. Not only is God the creator of all things, but He is the designer, the inventor, and the one who defines all aspects of the characteristics of everything that exists.

God invented truth. Man did not invent truth. Man even has a difficult time in discovering truth and discerning it from his own imagination.

God does not look down upon man and decide that He will like the black man, or the brown man, or the red man, or the yellow man, or the white man, or the tanned man, or any color, or nationality, or culture, or race, or height, or weight, or religion, or anything which man uses to distinguish himself from others.

God uses truth as the basis of His criteria, not human characteristics.

And so that, is described here. God created all things. Man has created nothing. God is all-powerful. Man is nothing. God is truth. Man is here, only courtesy of the grace of God and for no other reason.

God respects truth above all other things. Truth is Bible doctrine. God respects and honors Bible doctrine no matter where it resides.

God does not honor man, nor does He respect man. What God does respect is the Bible doctrine, which is contained within the soul of the human being. We as people receive blessing from God not because of anything that we are, or might accomplish, but solely due to our association with Bible doctrine, which resides in our soul.

You can only get Bible doctrine into your soul, by means of a daily study of the scriptures.

The more doctrine you have, the more spiritual growth you attain, then the more of a relationship with God you will have.

That relationship begins with salvation. Your greatest blessing is to be saved, not because of anything which you might do in life, but through your belief in Jesus Christ.

All other blessings flow to you through the pipeline of doctrine, which resides in your soul.

Do not learn any doctrine, do not pursue any of your spiritual life, and just how much blessings do you think you will have?

A lot of people believe that they can accomplish acceptance by God though the energy of their own efforts. They invent religions, and paths to God through human effort, or through human morals or standards.

But, the truth of realty is that the work of Jesus Christ is the only work, which God respects. Man has nothing to offer God. Man has nothing, period.

So man has to dismiss the righteousness of his own existence, and reduce himself down to a humble and repentant person. Contrite here man repentant, or to change ones entire view of life to that of Gods view, and not the many views of the world.

Isa. 57:15-16

15 For thus says the high and exalted One Who lives forever, whose name is Holy, I dwell on a high and holy place, And also with the contrite and lowly of spirit In order to revive the spirit of the lowly And to revive the heart of the contrite.

16 For I will not contend forever, Neither will I always be angry; For the spirit would grow faint before Me, And the breath of those whom I have made. NASB

John 14:23

23 Jesus answered and said to him, If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him, and make Our abode with him. NASB

God loves the positive believer, the one who is genuinely advancing in their spiritual life. God honors the positive believer through the doctrine within their soul. Ones color, height, or length of hair are irrelevant.

The more doctrine you have in your soul, the more spiritual growth you will have. The more spiritual growth you have, the more honor you will receive from God. The more honor the more blessing.

And that is the fundamental truth of the universe. Once you understand this principle of life, then you will be well on your way to a phenomenally successful life both now and in eternity.

Likewise, once you understand this principle, then your fear of God will far surpass any fear you might have from this world. God is able to bless or withhold it. Receiving blessing is preferable.

The world does not have any capacity to provide real blessing. What the world cannot provide, it cannot withhold. The world really has no real threat over your life, only a distraction designed to prevent your having a relationship with God.

Now is the time to post a prayer.

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
