Job 5:24

24 And thou shalt know [yada`] that thy tabernacle ['ohel] shall be in peace [shalowm]; and thou shalt visit [paqad] thy habitation [naveh], and shalt not sin [chata']. KJV-Interlinear

24 'And you will know that your tent is secure, For you will visit your abode and fear no loss. NASB

Since verse eight in this chapter, Eliphaz has explained the benefits of seeking God. The positive believer in Christ, the person who is positive toward pursuing their spiritual life through learning Bible doctrine through a daily study, will achieve spiritual maturity sooner or later, so long as they are consistent in their studies.

What you read in the Bible is not an advanced education is the math, or science, or social studies, but it is the discipline of focusing your attention on God and placing your life in His hands.

The Holy Spirit is the actual means of communicating spiritual information into your soul through your human spirit. I have a couple of charts of the human soul on the web site, which show the mechanics of the spiritual life, or lack of it.

Your spiritual life is a supernatural life. It is not a function of this academic world. The results of your learning doctrine and utilizing it in your daily life, is the construction within your soul, of a tabernacle, a home, a fortress, a temple, or whatever you want to call it. The Holy Spirit accomplishes this construction in your behalf.

The building material is Bible doctrine. Knowledge of which creates the framework of understanding within your soul, and then as with any home, once it is built, or even in the process of being built, you want to decorate and furnish it.

The furnishing of your spiritual home, comes from your application of those spiritual principles to your daily life. That is your spiritual production. We often call this the production of gold, silver, and precious stones.

In contrast, the negative believer, or the one who does not pursue the learning of Bible doctrine, produces only wood, hay, and stubble.

Note that everything you do in life causes a production of something. It is either good or bad. Your fellowship status determines whether it is good production or bad. While in fellowship, you can only produce good. While out of fellowship, you can only produce bad.

Prov 9:1

1 Wisdom has built her house , She has hewn out her seven pillars; NASB

Prov 24:3-4

3 By wisdom a house is built, And by understanding it is established;

4 And by knowledge the rooms are filled With all precious and pleasant riches. NASB

We studied the seven pillars, or seven spirits, of the spiritual life, in Revelation 1 as well as Isaiah 11.

Your real tent, your real home, your real temple, your real fortress, is inside of your soul. This is the constructed spiritual structure within your soul.

When you advance in your spiritual life, then you will know and you will have the confidence, that your life is secure.

And you will visit your home, which is inside of your soul, and not sin. How? By being in fellowship.

Remember that fellowship is the state of sinless perfection. When you sin, you are immediately out of fellowship. When you confess your sins, then you are immediately put back in fellowship. Review our detailed study of fellowship in 1, 2, and 3 John.

So, while in fellowship, then by definition you are in a sinless state.

Recall that Job lived in a house and not a tent. So Eliphaz is not speaking of Job's physical house. He is speaking of the soul of the mature believer, the one who seeks God.

We seek God by learning Bible doctrine.

Ok. I just saw on the television that Saddam is now gone out from this world. Often times the wheels of justice turn slowly, but evil always ends up in the same place, on the gallows.

Tyrants will come a go. The radicals over there will remain with us so long as there is a Satan and the sin natures of people. All that can be done is to systematically deal with them, just as the common criminal is dealt with in all of our hometowns. Crime will never be defeated until the end of the Millennium. This is the devils world.

We all have to live in this world, but we do not have to be a part of it. Get with a daily study, stick with it, and expect trouble from time to time in your life, but never give up your advancing in your spiritual life. Just as those terrorists constantly make trouble and want everyone to give up to them, so too the world will try to keep you from advancing in your spiritual life.

Never give in, never give up.

Your spiritual life is your most valuable possession. Don't ever throw it away.
