Job 9:11

There are two categories of life, the temporal, which deals generally with the physical, or carnal, world around us, and the spiritual, which deals with that which exists beyond this physical realm.

Within our physical world we can measure and detect things within our environment. We have the four classical dimensions, width, height, depth, and time, and there might even be some additional dimensions, seven more, if some of the latest theories prove to be accurate.

But regardless of the theories, we can measure and detect various things within our environment, using our five senses, hearing, sight, touch, taste and smell. We can measure and detect things using various instruments. And we can rationalize and theorize things within our temporal world, and then try to prove them using scientific methods to verify whatever it is we are trying to discover.

But the temporal world around us has definite boundaries. Beyond those boundaries we cannot go. At least, not on our own.

There is another world, and that is the spiritual world.

Some things are able to cross between the two worlds. Things like our human soul, and our human life, and our human spirit. Things like God and angels. None of these can be detected, or measured or verified by means of anything from within our temporal side of life.

We can go right up to the edge of our temporal reality, so to speak, but no further. Even though the two realities exist virtually within the same plane, the two are as close as your very own soul, and as far apart as the most distant and undetectable star.

In other words, just as the people building the Tower of Babel failed to reach God by means of their own human effort, so too, neither you, nor I, nor anyone can advance to a level of face to face contact with God, by means of our own effort.

Mans works are rejected when it comes to Gods plan. Only Gods works count, because only they are built on His perfect righteousness and justice. Ours are not.

Even though God is omnipresent, even though God performs miraculous works right before our very eyes, on a daily basis, no one can recognize them unless they have some spiritual inkling as to what life is all about.

Acts 17:26

26 and He made from one, every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times, and the boundaries of their habitation, NASB

God appointed every little thing within your life. From the moment of your birth, including the time in history in which you were to live, to the details of your daily life, to the last gasp of breath before your death and even beyond your death.

There is nothing that will enter into your life, for which God did not make some provision.

When you mess up your life, God saw your failures in eternity past and He made provision for your mistakes. That provision may be discipline and/or a way out of your predicament. And like most folks, you may even bounce from one problem to the next throughout your life, before you begin to wake up and smell your stupidity.

But still, God is there. He is always there to bail you out, when you finally get over your stupidness.

You cannot see God. You cannot feel God. You cannot detect God in any fashion. Those who boast of their deity encounters need to refill their prescriptions, or they are just trying to be innovative in getting your money out of your pocket and into theirs.

Those who froth and gargle various noises, those who have seizures and otherwise act like they are having an out of body experience, are phony and deceptive to the maximum.

God speaks to us through the written Word. God does not need a Hollywood act, in order to gain our attention. If you are truly interested in learning Gods Word, then you do not need such shenanigans. You do not need to be entertained or convinced to join some 'get spiritual quick' club. Those things, those organizations will not help you.

If you are not interested in the Bible, then all of the Hollywood acts, and club schemes in the world won t help you anyway.

There is only one means of learning about God, of growing up spiritually, and of entering into your very own spiritual realm, and that is through pursuing a legitimate, repeat, legitimate daily study of Bible doctrine.

You cannot wish, scream, cry, or even pray your way to spiritual maturity. There are no shortcuts. You have to learn little by little, day by day, and then one day you'll be all grown up. And that is in itself, a miracle.

A two year old cannot drive a car, get a job, run a company, or even make responsible decisions. He has to grow up. That takes time, experience, and an education, and the repetition of these things throughout the little ones life.

As an unbeliever, as a negative believer, God can walk right past you and you will never know it. You do not know because you do not have the interest to recognize His existence. As an unbeliever, you do not have the spiritual sensors to understand God. As a negative believer, or a misguided believer, your spiritual sensors are disconnected, or turned off, so you are really no better off than an unbeliever, as far as your spiritual learning abilities are concerned.

God has given us a link and an access to the spiritual side of life. That begins with salvation first, which creates for you a regenerated human spirit, your re-birth, or your being born again, side of life. And then God has given us an environment, a perfect environment within which our spiritual life functions. We call that environment, fellowship.

Then, God has given us the most prefect communicator and teacher of Bible doctrine, and that is the Holy Spirit. And finally, we have our text book for the spiritual life, which is our Bible.

Without these, you have nothing. You might as well be a slug on a stick.
