Job 10:2-3

2 I will say ['amar] unto God ['elowahh], Do not condemn [rasha`] me; shew [yada`] me wherefore thou contendest [riyb] with me.

3 Is it good [towb] unto thee that thou shouldest oppress [`ashaq], that thou shouldest despise [ma'ac] the work [yagiya`] of thine hands [kaph], and shine [yapha`] upon the counsel [`etsah] of the wicked [rasha`]? KJV-Interlinear

2 'I will say to God, 'Do not condemn me; Let me know why Thou dost contend with me. 3 'Is it right for Thee indeed to oppress, To reject the labor of Thy hands, And to look favorably on the schemes of the wicked? NASB

In case you haven't noticed quite yet, the book of Job is stepping through the connection that exists between man and history. First we had Job presented, then we had Satan's controversy against him, which by the way really had no basis or justification. Then we had Satan's attack against Job, with God permitting it but with restrictions. God always controls history. God always has control over every aspect of your life.

Now we have mans views on life, from mans restricted knowledge, and limited access to God. Satan has always had complete access to God throughout history.

Man, even with his limitations, is capable of making good decisions. While Satan, with his superior intellect and knowledge, has made bad decisions over and over again, throughout history.

Job asks questions, just as we all would ask, were problems to overwhelm our life. Jobs questions are reasonable and rhetorical. God provides all of the answers either within the context of the book, or within the context of the Bible as a whole.

When a person is under attack, then the natural plea, is to not be destroyed. God is the target of the request, because God is the one in charge of all of the ingredients of life.

Mans natural question is, 'Why? Why me? What is the reason for all of this to fall on my life?'

And the ultimate plea, 'Don't condemn me, though I am stuck here in this world a sinner and imperfect, don't separate me from life, from yourself, from something better than what I have now.'

And so, it was God who created man and placed him in this world with limitations such as we all have. Will God not look favorably on His own work? Will He turn against that which He Himself has created and fashioned?

Will God take those who are not so bad in life, and punished and condemn them, and thus allow those who are wicked to the core, to celebrate at their victory over good?

One often wonders if that is not the view of some of these politicians who condemn and try to prevent the work of our armed forces in trying to secure peace, while they look favorably at the work of those who are the cause of all of the violence.

And yet God is not so na ve as those politicians and celebrities who oppose truth.

God fights evil at every turn. God actually controls all aspects of history, unlike humanity or even Satan and his followers.

God provides answers to all questions, but of course the questions have to be asked first, before they will be answered.

And those who ask the right questions are those who are genuinely interested in truth. Those who are not interested in truth, are those who have self-serving motives. They are not interested in truth, but in their own agenda.

Satan is the originator of the self-server and the lies that make up the foundation of that pattern of thought.

When each of us was born into this life, we entered with a huge question mark above our heads. We are nothing more than a potential. Will we want to learn? Will we want to be responsible? Will we want truth over lies? Will we be interested in God, in Christ, in doctrine?

God provides the answers to all who ask, but we still have to make decisions throughout our life. As for salvation, only one decision has to be made once in ones life. But as for growth, then decisions have to be made everyday of our post-salvation life.

Will we confess, will be listen, will we learn, will we use what we learn? Will we set aside our former life, our life outside of Gods will, and seize the life which God has planned for us?

Will God simply throw us to the dogs, or will He explain life to us?

God rejects the labor of our hands, but God will never reject the labor of His own hands. Our work is worthless human righteousness. His work is eternal divine righteousness and more.

Now is the time to post a prayer.

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
