Job 10:10-12

10 Hast thou not poured me out [nathak] as milk [chalab], and curdled [qapha'] me like cheese [gabinah]?

11 Thou hast clothed [labash] me with skin [`owr] and flesh [basar], and hast fenced [suwk] me with bones [`etsem] and sinews [giyd].

12 Thou hast granted [`asah] me life [chay] and favour [checed], and thy visitation [paquddah] hath preserved [shamar] my spirit [ruwach]. KJV-Interlinear

10 'Didst Thou not pour me out like milk, And curdle me like cheese; 11 Clothe me with skin and flesh, And knit me together with bones and sinews? 12 'Thou hast granted me life and lovingkindness; And Thy care has preserved my spirit. NASB

Job is aware of the make up of the human anatomy. He states these facts as though they are common knowledge among everyone, and certainly none of those present deny or object to his statements.

Job has been around the block, as it were. He has most likely seen dead bodies, decayed bodies, the left over bones of those who had died long before. He has probably seen the discharge of miscarried fetuses, or even babies that were stillborn. And he is certainly familiar with the process of conception.

Given this, he states the process of the formation of the human body within the womb, from the very early stages of embryo and skin tissues, to the formation of soft tissues to the formation of the harder components of bones and muscles.

He states the sequence right, despite his living some 4500 years ago and not having any kind of medical degree. Job was just a businessman, a trader, a freight hauler, a rancher, a farmer. Job was no dummy and neither were the people who lived back in that time.

Job continues to recognize that it was God who designed the human anatomy. God designed the method of human formation in the womb. God designed the skin and bones and muscles and various organs within the human body. God designed the blood systems and food digestive systems, and nerve systems, and muscle systems, and the waste systems, and the immunity systems and much more.

And God placed into that human body, life. Life is separate and apart from the biological life, which is perpetuated in the womb.

God formed indirectly, all of us in the womb. That was His design. But Jobs point here is mentioned in verse 12.

God, after designing a human body, which enables us to function in this world, gave us life. And not only life, but life and lovingkindness.

Here is the main point.

The word, 'paquddah,' means lovingkindness certainly, but it carries the connotation of being under the constant care, the watchful eye, the close monitoring not only of God, but of an organization, an army, designed solely for that purpose.

God mustered an army to watch over you throughout your entire life. That includes care, custody, the vigilance of an on duty twenty-four hour guard for the purpose of preserving you. It is God Himself who performs these duties.

Certainly God has many systems in place for the preservation and perpetuation of human history in accordance with His divine plan, but God, or better stated here, Jesus Christ, controls history. This includes every aspect of your life, no matter how insignificant.

The real you is your life within your soul. The saved you, the one who has a relationship with God, is you including your soul and human spirit. Remember that once you have believed in Christ, you are trichotomous, or you have three parts to your existence, which are your human body, human soul, and human spirit.

The latter two are eternal. Your current physical body is temporary, and will be replaced with a permanent incorruptible body when you are resurrected at some point in the future.

God has gone to great lengths, and continues to go to great lengths to preserve your life in its fullest sense.

Ponder these last few studies. We are nowhere close to being finished with this principle of truth. You are important. God has a plan, and that plan is the most complete and sophisticated plan ever designed. No human, no angel, no creature could even come close to that which God has prepared for each one of us.

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
