Job 15:34

34 For the congregation [`edah] of hypocrites [chaneph] shall be desolate [galmuwd], and fire ['esh] shall consume ['akal] the tabernacles ['ohel] of bribery [shachad]. KJV-Interlinear

34 'For the company of the godless is barren, And fire consumes the tents of the corrupt. NASB

Now remember that Eliphaz is suggesting that these characteristics, which he is describing, characteristics of wicked people, apply to Job. Thus the reasons for Jobs fall from grace and the reasons for Jobs current suffering.

We already know that Job is not guilty of these things, but we can still learn from Eliphaz's comments, that the life of the godless person, is not and never will be, a good life.

Who is a Godless person? Who is a corrupt person?

One who does not have God active in his life. One who deals deceitfully with others in the normal course of his life.

Anyone, who is out of fellowship as a matter of their normal pattern of life, is a Godless person. This obviously includes all unbelievers. People who have never believed in Christ. But it also includes all believers who do not function properly in their spiritual life.

Unbelievers are wicked by default. Believers who live consistently outside of their fellowship sphere, imitate unbelievers, and therefore are just as wicked. The only difference between the two, is in Gods dealings with them. Unbelievers receive judgment or difficulties designed to bring them to faith in Christ. Believers receive discipline designed to bring them back into a spiritual growth mode.

As for the corrupt, this includes anyone who deals dishonestly with life's truths. This can include a judge who takes bribes and judges with bias, or a child who disobeys a parent thus disregarding authority, or a salesman who deceives customers, or a spouse who does not function properly within the marriage, and so on and so forth.

Any disregard for truth is a sin against God.

God is truth. Truth comes in many forms. All forms defined, designed, and created by God.

Truth includes the obvious, such as telling the truth verses telling a lie. Truth includes all of the many concepts of science, which God created. Interpretations of these sciences are usually mans biggest problem in science.

Truth includes conveying all aspects and facts of a matter, or in a story. The news media lies when it puts a twist on its stories, or when it leaves out facts such that readers or listeners will reach incorrect conclusions.

Politicians, celebrities and public people promote lies when they push crusades that may seem noble, but promote actions based on emotions rather than facts.

Disregard for the Bible, for its principles, for the Laws of Devine Establishment, and so forth, is corruption.

Corruption is a lie. Lies are always sins. Sins are promoted by the Godless. The Godless includes anyone and everyone who does not pursue God, Christ, and doctrine as it is intended to be pursued, as the normal pattern of their life.

God is life. Life is everything good, and more. Without God, one has nothing good. With nothing good, then one is worthless. And associating with anything that is worthless, brings worthlessness into your life, making you, in fact, worthless.
