Job 16:5

5 But I would strengthen ['amats] you with [bamow] my mouth [peh], and the moving [niyd] of my lips [saphah] should asswage [chasak] your grief. KJV-Interlinear

5 'I could strengthen you with my mouth, And the solace of my lips could lessen your pain. NASB

When people come face to face with the many problems that life can throw at us all, then the very best way to face them is with common sense, faith, prayer, and patience.

Common sense helps you to think your way through your problems. The problems of this world are common to the world, and common sense is your approach to the problems of the world. Lose a job, then go out and find another one. Break an arm, then see a doctor. To every problem, there is a common sense answer.

Faith helps you to rely on God, knowing that He will put together those things that are beyond your control.

Prayer helps you to organize your thoughts, getting your mind off of your problems and onto Gods promises.

And patience helps you to avoid making spontaneous and often times, emotional and wrong decisions.

When you come face to face with someone else who is having a difficult time in life, then criticizing them will do neither of you any good. You shouldn't have been smoking, drinking, driving, doing this or doing that. Blame helps no, one once an event has already occurred.

Once the shock and recovery are over, then a person with an open mind, will have ample opportunity to learn from their failure, or learn from the experience regardless of whose fault, if anyone's, it was. Many times fault is not an issue anyway. Life can hammer anyone, at any time, for any reason.

Only closed minded people will try to find some flaw in your character to explain your problem.

Job here, states it plainly. Good words cost nothing and can do more to help in a situation, than bad words can accomplish.

His approach to his friends, if the roles here were reversed, would be to help them with kindness and words of encouragement rather than to inflict further abuse through accusation. Fault is irrelevant.

God did not place man on this earth to point out all of the flaws of other people, contrary to what gossips seem to believe. With all of the advantages we have available on the internet, the chat rooms and such, have opened up many new doors of attack, for gossips. What is it they gain by putting people down?

We have already seen the disadvantage of sin in our life. We are all here for a specific time and then we will face Jesus.

You should be more interested in how Jesus is going to deal with you, than of you are in manipulating or getting even with the lives of others. Jesus Christ will deal with them in due course, as He will you.

Now is the time to post a prayer.

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
