Joel 3:9

Lesson # Joel 3:9
Study Material - Joel 3:9

You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.

Joel 3:9

9 Proclaim [qara] ye this among the Gentiles [gowy] ; Prepare [qadash] war [milchamah] , wake up [uwr] the mighty men [gibbowr] , let all the men [enowsh] of war [milchamah] draw near [nagash] ; let them come up [alah] : KJV-Interlinear

9 Proclaim this among the nations: Prepare a war; rouse the mighty men! Let all the soldiers draw near, let them come up! NASB

So now we have the challenge. God created mankind and began a nation of believers, Adam and Eve. But mankind began to grow in numbers and in time began forming their own nations, with their own rules and laws and beliefs.

Some nations follow principles of a republic, others that of a democracy, still others follow patterns of religion precepts, as we see in the Islamic world, and there are several other types of national structures in the world.

Even within the Christian based nations, there are those people, those organizations which will fight to the bitter end, against the very foundation on which we were established. These evil organizations are arrogant to the core, form a minority opinion, yet they are presuming to superimpose their standards on all of us. The right to prayer is challenged, the right to having anything Biblical in the public view is challenged. Such is the threat of liberal philosophy. And yet it is God who provided the very prosperity in which we all live.

So God in the end, and even throughout history, sends out the challenge. 'Come on and fight with Me. You who think you know the truth of life.'

But evil knows God yet it ignores God and pursues those who are weak - people. The nations (those who make up the evil components of any collective group) think of themselves as all knowing. They think that they can form the greatest 'nation' ever. But look at nations of the past. From centuries ago, they are all gone. And of those in existence today, only the grace of God has permitted their existence.

'Prepare to do battle.' 'Come out a fight with a real man,' in other words. 'Call up all your smart politicians. Call up all your tough guys, or those who think themselves tough.'

Arrogance runs rampant in a nation which has turned its back against God and has embraced its politics, its false religions, its philosophies of life. So much so, that as their confidence grows in their national existence, then an evil nation will even come to the point of thinking that it can even defeat God.

There is the bottom line of history. In those last days of the Tribulation, finally at the end of human history, millions or billions of people will share this attitude. That is the future of mankind. It has already been written in the scrolls of history - we studied them in detail in Revelation. And so it will take place, by mans choice.

End of lesson.

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
