Proverbs 2:10-15

Lesson # Proverbs 2:10-15
Study Material - Proverbs 2:10-15

You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.

Prov. 2:10-15

10 For wisdom will enter your heart, And knowledge will be pleasant to your soul; 11 Discretion will guard you, Understanding will watch over you, 12 To deliver you from the way of evil, From the man who speaks perverse things; 13 From those who leave the paths of uprightness, To walk in the ways of darkness; 14 Who delight in doing evil, And rejoice in the perversity of evil; 15 Whose paths are crooked, And who are devious in their ways;

If and only if you are positive toward Gods Word, an if and only if you advance in the prescribed manner toward spiritual maturity, then this statement will be true. Wisdom will enter your heart. Gods wisdom comes from the source of God. He alone is the author and finisher of our faith. Our obligation is to listen and learn. Consequently the doctrine we have in or soul will become a source of blessing and a challenge to us to further our advance in Gods grace.

We will be comforted, relaxed in our attitude toward this world and life. We will become confident in our future by means of our faith in God. We will gain an understanding about the confusing things and events of life, and be able to discern between the right and the left, the righteous and the unrighteous, the truth and the lie. We gain the ability to make right decisions from a position of knowledge, of strength. Uncertainty will soon lose its grasp on us and indecision will fade in our lives. We will develop a relaxed mental attitude. We will be less likely to fall apart when things go wrong. Poise will stand strong and those around us will see the difference between us and others in the masses. We will be able to see your destiny more clearly, we will be able to see our rich rewards of eternity more clearly. The believer who advances in doctrine has a more stable life and walks with assurance.

the mature believer is protected fro evil, from the pattern of evil. By making the right decisions regarding what should or should not be done, by choosing the right people to associate with, by focusing on the important things in life, ones Bible study, ones career, ones family, then you learn that everything else is really not that important. You begin to eliminate those things in your life that cause you difficulties. You stop chasing the 'keep up with the neighbors' attitude. You stop chasing happiness in the social circles, and you discover the happiness that lies within yourself because of doctrine.

You avoid those who plot evil, those who try to advance at the expense of others. You avoid those who live for the thrill of their lusts. You avoid the drug and alcohol scenes, the petty crime, the social gossips, and so forth. These are paths to darkness, a location where one cannot see where he has come from nor see where he is going. There is no guidance in darkness, only the deep pit that lies before you and into it the evil person and their mates will step and fall.

They do not even notice their failure, because they delight in their sinful pattern of life. Their morals become relative to their desires. Their selfish desires come first and the needs of others become expendable.

Evil people are any who reject doctrine, any who reject God and His Word and command to advance in the spiritual life. The world is made up of huge numbers of evil people in this category. Most are passively against God and the correct way to approach God. Most religions seek God by means of mans efforts and they get no further than Cain did. They receive Gods rejection and that is all.

Doctrine in the soul spares the positive believer from all the pitfalls of life and lifts the believer to a new level which others seek to attain, but will never reach.

Now is the time to post a prayer.

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
