Proverbs 3:32-35

Lesson # Proverbs 3:32-35
Study Material - Proverbs 3:32-35

You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.

Prov. 3:32-35

32 For the crooked man is an abomination to the LORD; But He is intimate with the upright. 33 The curse of the LORD is on the house of the wicked, But He blesses the dwelling of the righteous. 34 Though He scoffs at the scoffers, Yet He gives grace to the afflicted. 35 The wise will inherit honor,
But fools display dishonor.

Here is the contrast between the person with doctrine in their soul and the person who has no doctrine or very little doctrine in their soul.. The crooked man, the evil man, the wicked man, the carnal man, all of these are synonymous with people who lack doctrine in themselves. People who might be extremely bad people, like little Hitler's, or even people who are really good and nice people, but just disinterested I God. The world is full f the latter category, and why are they so bad? Just because they choose not to learn Bible doctrine, does that make them really bad people? Yes. And the reason is because they will eventually degenerate in their souls.

If the soul has no resources with which deal with life, then there is no frame of reference for deciding between right and wrong. Remember that the Bible gives us discernment. People without Bible doctrine in their souls, may have the morals of society to guide them by, because they learned it as they grew up. These morals may have been influenced by Biblical application, and they may have learned Bible morals by the sheer presence of them in society. But society on the whole travels a course of degeneracy, when society is general is negative toward God. We have seen the extreme examples in history, like before the flood, or in recent history the various genocide acts of various countries. So history repeats itself because people do not change. People have sin natures and if it is not countered by Bible doctrine, then the sin nature rules in an evil manner. So even the nice people you might happen to know, if they reject or ignore doctrine, are 'crooked' people, and God sees them as an abomination.

But, God had an intimate relationship with mature believers. How does this work? Think of sex and your relationship with your spouse. Hopefully you have a healthy relationship with your spouse, and if not, then think of the perfect relationship. Anyway. This is Gods intimacy with us. We are in fellowship, with Him, and this status places us in Gods presence, within His power structure, within His palace, standing before Him and being recognized. We have doctrine in our soul, which we apply to our daily lives, moment by moment. We are constantly advancing in our spiritual lives. God blesses us constantly, and in many ways. This is our intimacy, which is yet another illustration of how our relationship could be with God. Yet people reject God. They reject the understanding of how things could be in a relationship with God. They focus on how things are now. They do not see God, They only see the world around them, the competition, the struggle, the immediate pleasure or satisfactions they get with food, or money, or power, or sex, or whatever. They trade their future inheritance and present blessings for instant gratifications, for a mess of pottage as it were.

God curses their house, the house of the crooked. God blesses the house of the righteous, those with doctrine. He scoffs at their ridiculous behavior, their ridiculous pursuits in vain. God gives grace to those who persevere in doctrine.

Certainly we do not see miracles everyday. If you lived for miracles, then you have no faith. You would only want to be entertained. That was a good movie, now lets go on doing what we always do kind of attitude.

In the end, the wise, those who stick with doctrine and their daily studies, will inherit above and beyond all you could possibly imagine. We have seen honor or examples of it throughout history, but we wil actually experience it from God in our spiritual growth. Possibly no one else will know of it, but God will.

The fools, those who go about their lives in their pursuits of career climbing, in crime, in social settings, or whatever else that people pursue as their highest goal in life, they will inherit dishonor, the dust beneath the feet, the lowest of the low, the scum of the earth and worse.

Sooner or later you have to make a choice, either the Bible means something or it does not. If you are just marking time, marching in place and going nowhere, then you will discover nothing. Or perhaps you will evolve into some higher form of Pokemon. Then again, if the Bible is true and its warnings and commands do mean something, then we need to be alert and take it seriously.

Now is the time to post a prayer.

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
