Prov. 8:22-31

Lesson # Prov. 8:22-31
Study Material - Prov. 8:22-31

You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.

Prov. 8:22-31

22 'The LORD possessed me at the beginning of His way, Before His works of old. 23 'From everlasting I was established, From the beginning, from the earliest times of the earth. 24 'When there were no depths I was brought forth, When there were no springs abounding with water. 25 'Before the mountains were settled, Before the hills I was brought forth; 26 While He had not yet made the earth and the fields, Nor the first dust of the world. 27 'When He established the heavens, I was there, When He inscribed a circle on the face of the deep, 28 When He made firm the skies above, When the springs of the deep became fixed, 29 When He set for the sea its boundary, So that the water should not transgress His command, When He marked out the foundations of the earth; 30 Then I was beside Him, as a master workman; And I was daily His delight, Rejoicing always before Him, 31 Rejoicing in the world, His earth, And having my delight in the sons of men.

Wisdom is infinitely superior and infinitely beyond mans comprehension. Our own scientific discoveries in this past century, or even in these recent decades should prove to us, that there exists a great deal of intricate complexity in this universe. Technology discoveries in the medical field, and even in the everyday home product field, have been remarkable. There is no where that you can turn and not see something or some product that hasn't made our lives easier from digital phones, to satellite TV, to toasters, and this is a list that could go on forever almost. Great grandmother never had this kind of simplicity in her life.

So where did it all come from? Not man, even though man will rise up and take credit for the inventions. It all came from God and it existed in eternity past.

From before the beginning of this universe, before the angels, certainly before mankind was wisdom. It was possessed by God. Not merely understood, not learned, not tested until it was perfected, not developed by trial and error, and then once purified, then used on creation. Wisdom was with God in eternity past. God has always had wisdom. There was never a time when God didn't have wisdom.

Was man present prior to creation? No. Was man present when the blueprints of the universe were laid out, when the earth was constructed? No. And thank God for it because man would want some kind of environmental impact report, and probably would not have authorized his own creation!

Wisdom has been with God from the beginning through creation, through the restoration of the earth, through the creation of man. Wisdom remains with God and will never leave Him. Wisdom delights in man, in that God has given it to mankind freely, but man only has to want it, and learn it, then understand it, and apply it, and eventually grasp it in its final form - wisdom.

Man does not gain wisdom instantly, but it comes through a learning process. A process that requires attentiveness and repetition, through application and feedback, and finally possessing it to the point of understanding it and gaining the ability of applying it appropriately in life.

Just as we learn our letters when we are young, then words, then phrases and sentences and eventually books, then we learn music and poetry, and literature and we categorize the things that we learn and we develop concepts and relationships that words provide us with. At some point we become wise in the art of language. Or at least we should become wise. So it is with Bible doctrine, the basis for Gods wisdom.

It is available to us today through our consistent pattern of daily Bible study. God never had to learn it, but we do. God has always applied it consistently throughout history. We need to learn to do the same in our daily lives.

At some point in our lives we need to come to the realization that there is an infinite distance between God and mankind. That mankind does not have the capability nor the capacity to advance upward to a level equal to God. That there is more to life than scientific discovery, more than technology, more than an 8 to 5 job and retirement. There is a spiritual side of life as well. Science cannot measure nor discover things that are spiritual, but your volition can. Having a positive attitude and continued daily study will bring to you the realities of life that no one else can see.

Man may boast in his accomplishments, but they pale into insignificance when compared to those of God. Mans accomplishments are short lived and will eventually vanish, but Gods will continue forever. So making the decision to invest in Gods wisdom which is infinitely superior to anything one can invest in, in this world, is a start. Continuing that investment is an application of wisdom which will give you a far better life both now and in eternity.

Now is the time to post a prayer.

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
