Prov. 12:10-12

Lesson # Prov. 12:10-12
Study Material - Prov. 12:10-12

You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.

Proverbs 12:10-12

10 A righteous [tsaddiyq] man regardeth [yada] the life [nephesh] of his beast [bahemah] : but the tender mercies [racham] of the wicked [rasha] are cruel [akzariy] .
11 He that tilleth [abad] his land [adamah] shall be satisfied [saba] with bread [lechem] : but he that followeth [radaph] vain [reyq] persons is void [chacer] of understanding [leb] .
12 The wicked [rasha] desireth [chamad] the net [matsowd] of evil [ra] men: but the root [sheresh] of the righteous [tsaddiyq] yieldeth [nathan] fruit. KJV-Interlinear

10 A righteous man has regard for the life of his beast, But the compassion of the wicked is cruel. 11 He who tills his land will have plenty of bread, But he who pursues vain things lacks sense. 12 The wicked desires the booty of evil men, But the root of the righteous yields fruit. NASB

There are obvious contrasting attitudes between those people who are positive toward God and who are advancing in their spiritual lives, and those people who are not.

The positive believer cares for more than just self. He cares for his family, his occupation, his environment around Him, and even the animals that enter into his life.

The mention here of beasts or animals of all types (this does not include insects and such), is a reference to the care with which a positive growing believer in Christ, will look after his pets or livestock. He takes care of them, seeing to their health and well being. When times are bad, he does not take them out into the country and dump them alongside the road, expecting that someone in the neighborhood will discover them and take them in, or that the animal will simply know how to take care of its self.

In contrast, the negative person, when times are tough, will justify to themselves that the animals can do fine out in the world on their own. They wouldn't think twice about dumping an animal into the wild. The easy excuse is that family comes first. And while that is a valid reason when times are really tough and choices have to be made, the negative person will not even seek out a responsible resolution regarding a helpless animal, such as making an effort in finding it an alternate home.

A positive person will do whatever he can in order to take care of his entire family. Pets and all.

As for negative people, even the best things they do are cruel, because they ultimately think only of themselves, and not others. 'What is best for me.' 'What is best for family.' These are cute little disguises for making up an excuse to get out of some responsibility.

Not only does the positive believer take care of animals, but he takes care of the 'beast' within. This is the sin nature within each person, and taking care of that beast is accomplished through a daily Bible study.

The positive believer who is advancing in his spiritual life is responsible in the daily tasks of life. They do their homework if in school. They work hard in their employment. They keep up their home, take care of their children, look to the needs of the spouse, and so forth. They continue to improve them self whenever possible, but through rational mechanisms. They do not bet the farm on speculations or false dreams. They are charitable, and giving within their community to the best of their ability. They understand that God is the true source of all they have, and that God will provide for all their needs.

Having dreams and ambitions is perfectly fine. You just do not do anything which sacrifices your family or your livelihood for a dream. If it is worth pursuing then you approach it systematically and logically, and save up for it if there is a financial requirement. But the family savings is off limits and never compromised.

In contrast the negative person is lie driven. Remember that there are two opinions in this world. Gods, and everything else. The negative person embraces the 'everything else' opinion. That is tantamount to embracing the lie. They look for the get rich quick scheme. They chase rainbows and risk everything for that one chance to hit it big.

They sacrifice their own life by pursuing life in this world, something which is certain failure, rather than pursuing Gods word, which leads to certain success. Their priorities are all mixed up.

The world is nothing more than a little mud puddle, over which all negative people fight amongst themselves in order to secure a little piece of that puddle.

The production of the world is nothing more than the booty of mans production. Nothing things, of nothing value, which have a nothing existence, the book of Ecclesiastes, 'all is vanity.' To pursue the things of the world means that you ignore the things of God. Namely your spiritual life.

The positive believer, knows and understands how things work in this world. He understands that we are all here in this life for the purpose of advancing to spiritual maturity. That all things in this life (body, education, work, bills, family, social interactions, etc., etc., etc.), are there merely to support our existence here on this earth, and to help us to learn the principles of spirituallity, responsibility, empathy, charity, and so forth.

Bible doctrine in the soul will produce more success in your life, than you can produce on your own, in an infinite number of lifetimes, where God is excluded.

Now is the time to post a prayer.

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
