Proverbs 13:15-16

15 Good [towb] understanding [sekel] giveth [nathan] favour [chen]: but the way [derek] of transgressors [bagad] is hard [eythan].
16 Every prudent [aruwm] man dealeth [asah] with knowledge [da`ath]: but a fool [kaciyl] layeth open [paras] his folly [ivveleth]. KJV-Interlinear

15 Good understanding produces favor, But the way of the treacherous is hard. 16 Every prudent man acts with knowledge, But a fool displays folly. NASB

There are only two opinions in existence - Gods, and everything else. Gods opinion is found within the text of the scriptures. All other opinion comes from the imagination and invention first from Satan and subsequent to that - man. One day a good student of the Word will figure this out.

Gods opinion is based on the truth. Mans opinion is based on the false.

Understanding comes only from the study and learning and knowledge of the truth. Knowledge leads to application of that same knowledge to ones daily life. That repetition which we call in this study, the circle of wisdom, leads to just that - wisdom.

Wisdom leads to an orientation to truth, to God, to life. And truth is the only thing which will give you the greatest life you can ever possibly attain.

There are but two sources of blessing. The first is from God, and the second is from the world.

God is the only true provider of everything in life. The worlds provision is a lie, and not really a source of provision of anything. All of the worlds provision is limited and will come to an end., Gods provision is eternal.

Man is trapped in this world by sin and death. Neither of these two things can he overcome nor escaped. Those who look to the world will have only the things they sense with their five senses. Neither technology nor mans imagination or innovation can deliver him from sin or death. Those who ignore their spiritual life will lose out in life in a very big way.

Anyone who ignores God, His Word, their spiritual life, is in effect displaying folly, poor judgment, a fools pursuit.

Anyone who pursues Gods Word through their daily Bible study, is acting prudently and with wisdom in their life. The wise person knows and understands from where his blessings and his destiny comes.

The world, or worldliness, is an invented and fictitious being. It has neither power nor control over life, nor blessing.

God and God alone is the sovereign over all that is. From Him comes all blessing and happiness and ones destiny. It is within Gods sphere of influence that we find favor, for God favors all those who are obedient to His will. And His will is that you study daily, listen, learn, use what you learn, and grow up spiritually to maturity. It is in spiritual maturity that you will find real freedom and autonomy in life.

The world is ruled by the jungle laws. It favors no one. Even the strong are double crossed by the world sooner or later.

Real blessing comes from the only source of blessing, and that source controls all of history. Jesus Christ controls history. Better to be on the side of Him who is really in charge, and to be in His good favor, than to pursue a shadow which really does not exist.

Mature believers are the objects and the apple of Gods eye. His instruction should be the apple of strongest desire of our eye.

Psa. 17:8
8 Keep me as the apple of the eye ; Hide me in the shadow of Thy wings, NASB

Prov. 7:2
2 Keep my commandments and live, And my teaching as the apple of your eye . NASB

Zech. 2:8
8 For thus says the LORD of hosts, 'After glory He has sent me against the nations which plunder you, for he who touches you, touches the apple of His eye . NASB

Psa. 5:12
12 For it is Thou who dost bless the righteous man, O LORD, Thou dost surround him with favor as with a shield. NASB

Psa. 30:5
5 For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime; NASB

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
