Psalm 18:49

http://www.dailybiblestudy.org

49 Therefore will I give thanks [yadah] unto thee, O LORD, [Yahovah] among the heathen, [gowy] and sing praises [zamar] unto thy name. [shem] KJV-Interlinear

49 Therefore I will give thanks to Thee among the nations, O Lord, And I will sing praises to Thy name. NASB

As a believer in Christ, you are member of Gods family. Gods family is the same as Gods nation, for in number all believers probably will number into the trillions coming from all corners of the world and from all periods of human history.

Our nation is at home in heaven. Here on this earth, we are but visitors, representatives, ambassadors, representing our home nation, which is heaven.

All of the nations of this world as not ours, but belong to the world which hosts an unbelieving world operating under the policies of evil all of which originated with Satan.

So, as believers we live in this world, and among the heathen. A heathen is a term that identifies an uncultured, uneducated, dysfunctional person. And since Bible doctrine is the source of knowledge and cultivation of truth and function, then anyone who lacks doctrine is classified as a heathen. Appearance is irrelevant.

We have been dropped into history from the moment of our birth, and into this world. As such we are at risk from the world, and were it not for Gods grace, the world would consume us. But as believers, God has poured out His grace in many forms in order to protect us for our eventual return call to home, our true home, which is heaven.

For this and many other things which are beyond counting, we have an obligation, even if only out of common sense, for praising God for all that He has and continues to do for us, on an ongoing moment by moment basis.

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
