Zech. 14:20-21

20 In that day [yowm] shall there be upon the bells [matsillah] of the horses [cuwc], HOLINESS [qodesh] UNTO THE LORD [Yahovah]; and the pots [ciyr] in the LORD'S [Yahovah] house [bayith] shall be like the bowls [mizraq] before [paniym] the altar [mizbeach].

21 Yea, every pot [ciyr] in Jerusalem [Yaruwshalaim] and in Judah [Yahuwdah] shall be holiness [qodesh] unto the LORD [Yahovah] of hosts [tsaba']: and all they that sacrifice [zabach] shall come [bow'] and take [laqach] of them, and seethe [bashal] therein: and in that day [yowm] there shall be no more the Canaanite [Kana`aniy] in the house [bayith] of the LORD [Yahovah] of hosts [tsaba']. KJV-Interlinear

20 In that day there will be inscribed on the bells of the horses, HOLY TO THE LORD. And the cooking pots in the LORD'S house will be like the bowls before the altar. 21 And every cooking pot in Jerusalem and in Judah will be holy to the LORD of hosts; and all who sacrifice will come and take of them and boil in them. And there will no longer be a Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts in that day. NASB

Zechariah starts out his book with a call for repentance. Repent, change your mind, change your attitude, change your daily habit, and get with a daily study of Gods Word and invest in your most valuable possession, your spiritual life.

The things of this world will only benefit you while in this world, and then they will be gone. The things of your spiritual life, will repay you in profits, interest, dividends, bonuses, benefits, and blessings forever.

Zechariah continues on, to describe the First Advent of Christ. The salvation that is so necessary for mankind in order to continue his existence.

But humanity will generally ignore the warnings of Zechariah. That will lead, in time, to a period of the most defiant attitudes by man toward God. We call this period, the Tribulation.

God is the source of truth. He is the source of life. He is the source of blessing and happiness. There is no other source in existence for these things.

Armageddon will be the final demonstration of what happens when humanity simply rejects God, and pursues anything and everything else in their imagination. Truth is the matching up of facts perfectly to reality. Everything else is an illusion.

Awareness of truth comes only from the daily study of Bible doctrine. Some truth filters through to humanity by means of its influence on society, like marriage, or law and order, or right and wrong, for example. People do not have to study the Bible per se, in order to learn fundamental truth about life and society.

However, a study of the scriptures gives you an advantage in life, over any and all who do not study them. That advantage comes in the form of your spiritual growth.

When Christ returns, then we have in our closing verses of Zechariah, the results of that victory over evil.

The Millennium will be a demonstration of holiness, and what it can and will accomplish for humanity.

People will not pursue false gods. People will not pursue the superficialities of ego. People will recognize, universally, the greatness of Christ. And as a result, life will be blessed beyond the dreams of humanity.

In the Millennium, everything will be holy, free from evil, free from sin, free from the restrictions of access to God.

The ungodly, the flaws, the false views which humanity has imagined in the past, will not be allowed.

The bells on the horses, symbolize the most common ornaments of society. Anyone, young or old, rich or poor, is capable of placing ornaments, or trinkets of beauty, on their horses, on their possessions. These are trinkets in the public view.

All things in the public s eye, will be consecrated and recognized as coming from the sole provision of Christ, and thus placed in the public view as an honoring to Him.

The pots in the Temple were used for cooking. A mundane and routine task. The pots before the alter, were filled with the blood of the sacrifices in the Levitical offering rituals of the Old Testament. These pots symbolize a far higher degree of holiness. Yet now both pots will have the same symbolism of holiness. All will now be holy, from the lowest ranking person, to the highest.

Every pot in the private household of the land, is now amplified to the same rank as those in the Temple. This describes perfect freedom and independence from ritual and the burdens of rules and regulations.

Everyone and everything, will be fit for the Lords use. No longer will anyone have to go out to the Temple and purchase a special thing for use before the Lord. No longer will anyone promote the need of special holy water, or special holy ornaments as prescribed by so many religious organizations. All of these false concepts, will no longer exist.

The word for Canaanite, represents those who traffic in or act as merchants of religious paraphernalia. Canaanite also represents any unclean or profane person. Such people will no longer exist to promote their false and misleading ideas. The dichotomy distinctions between the secular and the sacred will no longer exist. Political correctness, shallowness, superficialities in all of their various forms, will no longer exist.

Holiness or freedom, from the nauseating and silly ideas of the spiritually na ve, will characterize Millennial life.

All forms of life, the public, (bells), the spiritual, (temple pots), and the private, (personal cooking pots), all aspects of life in the Millennium, will be characterized and shaped, and blessed by the glory of Christ in the Millennium, and not the agenda of humanity.

Now is the time to post a prayer.

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
