Zeph. 3:20

Lesson # Zeph. 3:20
Study Material - Zeph. 3:20

You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.

Zeph. 3:20

20 At that time [eth] will I bring [bow] you again, even in the time [eth] that I gather [qabats] you: for I will make [nathan] you a name [shem] and a praise [tahillah] among all people [am] of the earth [erets] , when I turn back [shuwb] your captivity [shabuwth] before your eyes [ayin] , saith [amar] the LORD [Yahovah] . KJV-Interlinear

20 'At that time I will bring you in, Even at the time when I gather you together; Indeed, I will give you renown and praise Among all the peoples of the earth, When I restore your fortunes before your eyes,' Says the LORD. NASB

Zephaniah closes with the words of God Himself, and His promise that right before their eyes, those who are living when the proper time comes, will see with their own eyes, their restoration from being scattered to the four corners of the world. They will see with their very own eyes, their restoration from poverty, to the phenomenal wealth that they will have because obviously they will be the only ones alive on the earth. Everything that exists will be theirs for the taking - spoils of war.

In many passages God has promised the restoration of the scattered people who belong to Him, and that they will have vast lands in which to live, Gen. 12:1-7, 13:14-17, 15:7-21, 17:7-8. Likewise there are many passages in which God promises to establish His kingdom and rule for a thousand years and then forever after that, 2 Sam 7:16, Psa. 89:3-4, Isa. 9:6-7, Dan. 7:27, Zeph. 3:15.

God will make His people a celebrated and praised people. Who will celebrate them? Since there will be no one alive on earth but Gods people, and since all fallen angels will now be incarcerated for a thousand years, this leaves the celebration to those of heaven. Believers, and elect angels.

Once (during the entire of the human history) believers were a reproach. That is true of us in our current day in various places around the world, and even by negative people in our own country. But when Christ returns at the Second Advent, then all unbeliever and all negative believers will find themselves 'not' on this earth. Only positive and mature believers will be here. In the party which is sure to follow, they will have the last laugh!

This is the ultimate reality check for delusion. Throughout Zephaniah, the trend of thought is anti-God, even if it is indifference or substitutionary faith of some kind (a different religion), it is still anti-God.

Anyone who does not pursue God in their life, then by default, believes that there is something better for them than what God has to offer. This, even if folks don't consider this in some formal way. Since people are always in pursuit of something better for themselves - a better education, a better home, a better job or occupation, a better income, and better social life, better health, a better whatever it is you want out of life. Not too many normal people want worse for themselves unless they are just down on life because of their circumstances. But even then they would want out of their predicament if that were possible.

So, turning to something other than what God offers in the scriptures, is a rejection of God, a rejection of Gods plan for your life, a rejection of Gods wisdom concerning your life. This turning away is a delusion. If something else seems better, then you would have to be ignoring truth and accepting a lie.

Human history is exactly as the Bible portrays it. Human history will not get better, but is in the process of deteriorating. That is why the Tribulation will occur at some point in the future. If human history were to get better, as though mans problem would be solved by man, then there would be no need for the Rapture, no need for the Tribulation, no need for the Second Advent, no need for the Millennium. Actually there would be no need for any kind of god if mankind were to become the solution to his own future. But that is not the case of course.

We are all faced with certain truths in life. We will all die sooner or later. Ignoring that fact won't make it go away. Wishing for a solution to death won't make it not happen. Therefore it is better to prepare for what is coming than to not prepare.

We can look to the many philosophies or religions in the world, but on close examination, none of them will hold up. There is but one faith and that is from the Bible. It is well documented, well established, well verified and has withstood the tests of time across the centuries and millennia. It is the only truth in existence.

Therefore, before our very eyes, at some point in our life time or in the future, with a certainty, God will show us all the truth of His wisdom and the superiority of His truth.

Now is the time to post a prayer.

End Of Lesson

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
