You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.
Psalms 25:21-22
21 Let integrity [tom] and uprightness [yosher] preserve [natsar] me; for I wait [qavah] on thee.
22 Redeem [padah] Israel [Yisra'el] , O God [elohiym] , out of all his troubles [tsarah] . KJV-Interlinear
21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, For I wait for Thee. 22 Redeem Israel, O God, Out of all his troubles. NASB
Integrity is the steadfast adherence (as in being glued to something) to a strict code of conduct, resulting in a state of soundness of mind, or a state of completeness or comfort or contentment in ones life.
Uprightness is the application of, and the following of, those rules of conduct in ones daily life.
The code of conduct is a set of rules, principles, guidelines from which morals and standards are developed for life. These guidelines must come from a standard which is certain, true, unchanging, and independent of the relativeness of history, and environment, and human whims or popularity.
Legislation cannot alter true standards. Peer pressures cannot alter true standards. Popularity cannot change true standards. Politics, or philosophy cannot change true standards if the standards are to prove themselves in the test of life.
True standards cannot be easily dismissed, or compromised, or set aside for an expediency or be applied only when it serves a convenience to ones life style or situation.
God presents us with a set of standards in the Bible which are established, and certain. One cannot know these standards unless one studies them and learns them. One cannot master these standards unless one applies them in ones daily life.
The standards presented in the Bible go far beyond just telling the truth, or having a nice personality and smiling at everyone. You must develop and abide by all of the standards of responsibilities demanded by God.
In so doing, these same principles of doctrine will become a wall of fire, just as the Israelites had between them and the Egyptians. A wall of fire which will prevent the world from gaining access to the positive believer (we also call this wall of fire - fellowship), and the wall of fire will protect and preserve the obedient believer in Christ.
Likewise, the believer who learns doctrine will gain an orientation to life, and therefore will be less impatient and less anxious about life. He has Gods promises and a destiny which is certain.
Redemption is the act of another who removes any and all encumbrances and burdens on an individual. We as humanity are encumbered with sin and the ever present threat of death and permanent separation from God. At the Cross, Jesus Christ removed these barriers. We have but only to believe in that work of Christ, in order to receive possession of that redemption.
In life as believers we are always subjected to the burdens of the world. In our spiritual life, we are separated from the world (spiritually) when we are in fellowship, and eventually when we go to heaven, we will be separated from the world physically.
A nation is a collection of people who have something in common. There are many nations in the world, who belong to the world, but there is only one nation which belongs to God. That nation is called Israel. Israel is not a genetic nation. It is not a collection of peoples who live in the Middle East, nor were descended from Abraham, Isaac, or Jacob. As Jesus once said, He could raise up descendants of Abraham from the stones of the field. So biology has nothing to do with membership in Gods nation.
Gods nation is made up of people who have believed in Christ. Period! Gods nation is a spiritual nation, not a physical nation, and certainly not a geographic one. All who have believed in the promised Savior, the Son of God, our Lord Jesus Christ, will be delivered from all of the burdens of this world, and this life. That is Gods promise. And God keeps His promises. When, a person believed in Christ, makes no difference. Adam and Eve, looking forward to the Cross, believed in the Son, and we, looking back to the Cross believe in Christ.
No believer in history, will ever be lost, nor will they ever be forsaken. Gods promises are true and our destiny with Him in heaven is certain. One day, at Gods convenience, in accordance with His plan for your life and for all of humanity, you along with all believers, will be taken up to Him and there in heaven we will forever be free from the burdens of this life, and alive with Him forever.
