Signs of the End Times

Understand that there is a difference between the End Times, and the Final Days.

The End Times, is a period which began after the Cross, back in approximately 34 A.D., fifty days after the Feast of Passover, on the Feast of Pentecost. Pente stands for five or fifty, by the way, or the seventh Sunday following Easter Sunday.

So, the Holy Spirit was given, on the day of Pentecost, fifty days after the Cross, which occurred on the day of Passover.

And, that caused an interruption in the dispensation of the Age of Israel, and the beginning of our current age, which we call the Church Age. We also call our Age, the Age of the Gentiles, the Bride of Christ, the Age of the Royal Family, the Church Age. These are all synonymous terms for our present Age or Dispensation.

John, called our Age, the End Times.

Our Age, ends with the Rapture.

So, our Age, has been ongoing for about 2018-34= 1984 years now.

Our Age, has been characterized as an Age of trends, with but one and only one specific prophecy, which is the Rapture.

The trends include:

Populating of the entire world; the final part of that activity began in 1492. Typically, when Columbus was credited with the discovery of the American continents. And, has continued even to this day.

An increase in knowledge; characterized with the many scientific discoveries and advancements in technology; more specifically now in recent decades as we see more and more discoveries and inventions.

The increase in the numbers of earthquakes; seemingly as though the earth is orienting itself in preparation for some final and massive disasters.

Increase in world population; the world has gone from just about a billion people in the last couple of centuries to almost eight billion now; the growth rate is increasing rapidly.

Wars and rumors of wars; these activities have always been a part of world history, but in the past, wars swept across continents, and now, with after the last world war, the conflicts have been more geographically isolated and confined, ie with a given country, the Middle East, Africa, some parts of Asia, and so forth, but not sweeping across continents.

The preaching of the gospel to every corner of the globe; helps by the internet, television and so forth.

But these things are generally common knowledge among Christians, even known among non-christians too.

What most overlook is the recent changes that connect us with the former dispensation, ie the Age of Israel.

When our Age interrupted that former Age, Israel was a nation, with a capital in Jerusalem despite the rule of Rome, it also had a temple. As for the Temple, Christ tore it down and rebuilt a better temple within us, in those three days between Crucifixion and Resurrection. That occurred prior to Pentecost.

So, when the Rapture occurs, it is reasonable to assume that Israel would exist, that the capital would be Jerusalem and that there would be an attempt to rebuild the Temple, which was destroyed by Christ, in concept or spiritually speaking, and later actually destroyed by Rome in 70 A.D.

What we have seen is the restoration of Israel in 1948, and now the recognition of Jerusalem as its capital this year by the United States. These things come with no prophecy, but with the pattern of trends that we can expect within our dispensation, in preparation of the coming events ending our dispensation, namely the Rapture, and the resumption of the Age of Israel from where it was left off, which is the beginning of the tribulation.

Most of the prophecies that remain, will actually occur during the Tribulation. The Tribulation will last for only seven years, the last seven years of the Age of Israel.

Remember that our dispensation is an age of trends, not of prophecies, the making of a footstool for the feet of Christ, which is nothing more than the preparation, setting the world in order, for the Final Days, which is the Tribulation.

The last and most difficult trend of our Age, is the Great Apostasy, which was told by Christ. It is the time which must occur before the revealing of the anti-christ.

The anti-christ will be revealed after the Rapture, during the Tribulation. But in our dispensation, the end will be characterized with a Great Apostasy. Now, apostasies have occurred in the past but they were always followed by a revival of faith. In this coming apostasy, no matter, what the disaster, there will not be a faith revival. People will continue pursuing their attitudes of indifference, their contempt, their sincerity, their man is good and man will over-come, their attitude that we as mankind can fix this world. Etc. While all the while people will be consumed with their fixation of the many things, technology, entertainment, etc., of this world.

During this gap of a Great Apostasy, the spiritual state of the world will decline, and, I believe that, that is when God will cause the Rapture, lest the entire world fall into total spiritual failure.

So, when will this all be?

No one knows, but just as we can recognize the coming of seasons, the beginning of spring, the end of summer, so too, we are given signs, not exact signs, and certainly not a calendar date that we can mark, but signs nonetheless, that this age is growing close to its end.

Most will scoff at this. Most will continue in their day to day activities with no concern for the tomorrows, all the while the world is moving without pause, onward toward Gods date, a date set certain towards Gods positioning of all the pieces necessary for the ultimate and final end of this age.

Your responsibility?

Have faith in Christ and be saved.

Confess your sins to God the Father, to establish yourself in fellowship.

Pursue a daily study of Bible doctrine for spiritual growth.

Resulting in your overall preparation within your own spiritual life.

You cannot stop Gods timetable for the world, but you can advance in your own spiritual growth.

Time is short, both for each person, for none of us know when we will have our last breath in this life, but also for the world, as more and more pieces of the puzzle seem to be coming together, while most of the world is oblivious to it all.
