You must be in fellowship prior to your Bible study, so that the spiritual information you receive can become a source, of blessing to your soul and produce spiritual growth.
24 They
also that erred [ta`ah] in spirit [ruwach] shall
come [yada`] to understanding [biynah], and they that murmured [ragan] shall learn [lamad]
doctrine [leqach]. KJV-Interlinear
24 And those
who go astray in spirit will come to understanding, and those who murmur will
accept instruction.” ESV
Going astray and murmuring, are common reactions that are directed against God, when things do not go right in life. Going astray is any deviation away from ones spiritual responsibilities and human obligations of life. Murmurings are the grumblings against God, for any reason, whether real or imagined. And the end results will always be bad for the individual. More going astray, more grumblings will never set things right, but will always continue the downward spiral of gloom and doom in ones life. And this, despite ones circumstances, whether successful or not.
The principle here is, that life and the things of life will never satisfy, will never fulfill, will never bring contentment. The things of life only cause a bigger and bigger vacuum, that sooner or later will cause an implosion and collapse in your life. Something that can be avoided with a change, a major change, of attitude, but stubbornness prevents that, and therefore the ultimate punishment, brought on by oneself, occurs.
This is the general picture and history of the Jewish people. Stubborn and stiff necked, they have been through misery after misery, and atrocity after atrocity throughout history, and only by Gods grace, do they continue to exist.
God has promised that race, that they will remain and will exist right up until the final days of history, despite their rejection of Christ.
And by the way, this principle of defiance against truth and ones responsibilities in life, applies to everyone. Just so no one gets the idea that this is only a Jewish problem.
But, when the end does finally come, the world and all of life will be witness to just how strong, defiance and stubbornness can be.
The world will be brought to the very brink of extinction of humanity, before attitudes change.
And here we have the promise and the prophecy. Those attitudes will change.
And the attitude of going astray will cease. The attitude of murmuring will change.
People will turn to Christ, to doctrine, and learn and be taught and will want to learn and will want to be taught, and their whole outlook will transform dramatically.
Stubbornness and defiance toward ones role in life brings only trouble and suffering and loss, and never anything good, never.
Adjusting to Gods plan and purpose for you and your life, is the only thing that will bring you contentment and happiness and fulfillment and so much more.
