Job 5:18

18 For he maketh sore [ka'ab], and bindeth up [chabash]: he woundeth [machats], and his hands [yad] make whole [rapha']. KJV-Interlinear

18 'For He inflicts pain, and gives relief; He wounds, and His hands also heal. NASB

God protects each and every one of those who belong to Him. He spreads out His arms of power to protect and to guide, but when we get out of line, then He disciplines each as He sees fit. If you have believed in Christ, then you belong to God.

Sometimes the discipline is a splinter, a mild smack across the hand, and at other times, His discipline can be a bone crushing beating sufficient to overcome the most severe of stubborn attitudes.

While he is applying His discipline, He also prepares for the healing, should we see the error of our way. When God patches us up, then we will be as good as new, if not better.

Jesus Christ controls history. God the Father set out a plan, a divine plan in eternity past. Included in that plan are all of the details of history, with no exceptions. Jesus Christ carries out that plan to the letter and never ever deviates from the plan. Why? Because the plan is the perfect plan, and there is none better. The Holy Spirit reveals the plan, provides our support, and sustains us through that plan.

No detail, no matter how small, escapes the attention of God.

Gods plan provides for each of our decisions and actions. Gods plan provides for our every need throughout our life.

Gods plan also has provision for our discipline when we deviate from our spiritual life.

Discipline is intended to get your attention, and redirect your thinking back to Him. For those whose light bulb comes on quickly, the road of recovery is quick. For those who seem to have misplaced their light bulbs, the recovery road is a little longer and harder.

Jesus Christ controls history. He can control history through His direct actions. He can control history indirectly through the laws of establishment. He can direct history through permitting the jungle laws to act against you.

In any case, you haven't an ice cubes chance, if you think you can get through this life on your own. Only fools ignore this principle as they ignore God.

Once you realize that your life is totally in Gods hands or Satan's, and then once you put yourself into Gods hands, rather than Satan's, by getting with a daily Bible study and a positive attitude toward your spiritual life, then your life will get significantly better.

Life is much, much easier when you can avoid Gods discipline. But, if you happen to have gotten yourself into trouble along the way, as most folks do, then your best course of recovery is to turn to God and your spiritual life.

Being stubborn, being defiant, being hateful, being resentful, being bitter, being self righteous, being judgmental, and so forth will never make your life better. These things only serve to postpone your better life.

Then one day you might wake up and discover that you, yourself are your own worst enemy.

Deut. 32:39

39 'See now that I, I am He, And there is no god besides Me; It is I who put to death and give life. I have wounded, and it is I who heal; And there is no one who can deliver from My hand. NASB

Hos. 6:1

1 'Come, let us return to the LORD. For He has torn us, but He will heal us; He has wounded us, but He will bandage us. NASB

Study to show thyself approved (mature) unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (studying/discerning), the Word of truth.
