3 There is
no speech, nor are there words; Their voice is not heard. NASB
The languages and cultures and histories of men are varied and different. And throughout history since Adam, there have been many cultures, and peoples and languages.
The languages of the world throughout history, have numbered into the many thousands. Many of the very old languages have been lost forever.
Even today, most people speak only one language, and most folks know a few words from another language.
Very few people can understand let alone speak fluently in several languages.
However, God has set before humanity the stars and the heavens, that speak very plainly and clearly to all, regardless of their language.
All see the stars. All see the sun rises. All see the sun sets. And without any interpreter, without any translator, without any instructor, all peoples are able to see and discern and figure out, that there was and is a divine designer in creation.
Since the days of Adam, every generation of humanity has given credit to a divine designer of some sort. Even if that credit is given to a false god. Still that concept is there and has been in society forever.
Every child, after they have been born and have grown up, will exhibit some sort of reference to God, even if they use foul language as their reference.
Everyone knows of the beginning of Adam and Eve. Virtually no one knows of the beginnings described by Islam, by Buddhism, by Hinduism, etc. Do you? No.
And yet even when these false beliefs virtually saturate the world, even those who follow them, are ignorant of their foundations.
But of Christianity, both believers and unbelievers, are aware of the many and varied stories of Adam, and Abraham, and Moses, and David, and the baby Jesus, and Mary, and the apostles, and of the last days, and of many, many other stories that have originated in the Bible.
Language has not been a barrier to truth. Truth and the divine design of God in and of themselves, transcend culture and language, and all other worldly obstacles.
But again, people need doctrine in order to rise above their own self-imposed resistance to Christian responsibilities and obligations and truth.
